Ah, system speakers. I have a old 486 that only have a system speaker and no sound card. One of the last games to have beeping sounds was Doom. :/
Man, tones was one of the first thing I played around. I was probably nine years old when I played around with qbasic. And of course, I forgot most about it. |

No, I'm fairly sure it's from a Konami game, and it's only EXE because I have no tools to make it so I just made a QB EXE with a few PRINT, SLEEP, and PLAY commands.
Hell, I could just post the 8 line* source, if you'd rather try and play it yourself

Without listening to it I'm going to tentatively say, "King's Quest." |

Sndtest.exe
(DOS executable file; plays 2 note sequences from PC-SPEAKER (or normal speaker, depending on system settings))
So far, no one reconized it (although Kyouji said it sounds familiar) and I just wanted to see if anyone else could figure out where its from.
(anyone who can figure out where the note sequence comes from gets a cookie. hint: the notes themselves are never heard)
Edit: Don't bother searching for the note sequence on Google, you won't find it |
