I used to play as Capt. Falcon but I wanted someone with the almost exact moveset as him and was more powerful. That's why I play as Ganondorf now. His attacks are powerful but some of them take too long to charge like the volcanic kick which is up + A button. I got someone with this attack a few weeks ago, this guy was Marth and I was Ganondorf of course and while we were playing in Hyrule, the guy keeps on attacking one of the walls of the temple and I was right behind him charging the volcanic kick attack. He didn't realize I was behind him until I KOed him with the attack.

Link. I have kicked ass with myself at max handicap vs a team of 3 Lv. 9 opponents. True story. Man if this goes online with Rev, i'm gonna go insane. XD

Shiek in SSBM and Samus in SSB. Samus mainly because I'm a Samus fanboy. Shiek is fast, has good jumps, and --> B is awesome.

Link
Roy
Marth
Kirby

Those are my favs. Yea, I'm a swordie-lover. I can't wait for SS:BM. I hope the engine plays perfect and that all characters are balanced so you don't have any broken characters or "top tier" BS.

Actually, we had a small convo via PM. Thing is, he was saying that Pichu's FRONT SMASH sends the other guy farther than Bowser's, and one other guy's. Either way, all of the mentioned character's front smashes sucks due to the horrendous range on them. For Mr. Game and Watch, he said the cheap attacks are manhole and parachute. Yeah. I don't think I even have to say what's wrong with that. Mewtwo's he said his attacks stun so they're easy to link in combos (even though they're still slow, and most of his attacks don't actually stun). As for Roy's Counter... Well... Counter leaves you open and anyone good will vary their techs enough so that you can't see it coming all the time, and then a lot of the time they can see your counter coming and then just not use an attack there, and then charge up while you're countering and unleash something after you're done. He also said that Counter can be used to stop combos, but I countered that argument with a statement that many combos, particularly those from the characters that are really good at comboing, are strung together too fast for that to actually work, since there's a slight time between when the move is used and when it protects you.

The convo ended shortly after Zerodius said there were no bad characters, because he didn't respond when I said, and I quote, "Oh, now everything makes sense. You're one of those causal players who doesn't believe in tiers Here's where I would normally draw out a long and winded argument about how no one who isn't perfect could possibly make a completely balanced game where there are no unbalancedly bad or good characters when characters are of such obviously different styles, but you know what? It's be a waste of time and I don't feel like arguing right now."

Note the redundancy there. I was really tired when I wrote it

Oh it was 8..okay, thank you for the correction The character I am best with is Pikachu. I can move fast with it and I know how to use it to its fullest potential!

8 is Ice Judgement, 3 is Fan Judgement

My choice of character is Adult Link in SSBM and Pikachu in SSB. Although the moves are the same...i suck with Pikachu in SSBM

I think also that judgement's number 3 also freezes you like the Ice Climber item. It was 3 I am almost sure of it, but if anyone knows otherwise then just say it here.

Judgement has 9 levels of strength, and I think different elements. 7 makes some food appear, 1 gives Mr. Game and Watch about 10 or 20 damage, and 9 is very strong, one hit KO I think, and possibly worth the damage you'd take that may get recovered via lucky number 7's food giving powers anyway. Also, I may be wrong but I heard Pichu has stronger electric attacks then Pikachu because it can't controll it, which is why it takes damage it's self. Mewtwo flys around easilly, and might make for good combos, and he can corner an enemy with his Shadow Ball(Forgive me if it's the wrong name, been so long) most likely. Again, I'm no expert, this is simply from what I've read. Roy's Counter probably wouldn't need readjusting if the computer AI is upped atleast at higher levels so it can spot repeat attacks. It'd at the simplest would just have to notice if a player is doing what'd end up with a "Stale Moves" bonus for that attack, if I remember the name right. Then it'd adjust for whatever attack was being used or simply try another random strategy. I wonder if they will get super professonal SSBM players to test the game out to help make the AI realistic on higher levels, I think they did that with... what was it, Soul Calibur 3?

Again... Explain this one Because that's not true at all.

I think he means Judgement. Doesn't #9 strike with all the force and passion of a thousand tappers? And the other numbers do enough to keep them close enough for a blast of #9.

Man, I have a couple of characters I like to play, but with Zelda/Shiek I can kick arse. After that is like Bowser. Yeah, he's more fun to handle.

What the fuck? You'll have to explain this one

-Roy's Counter would be made a bit less powerful (Marth always do medium damage with his... while Roy strikes back for twice the power he was struck with... add to this that Counter has insane priority and you get a deadly move. Using Counter, I can beat BOTH Master Hand and Crazy Hand as quickly as if I were using Yoshi!)
But Counter sucks. Almost no one is going to be hit by it more than once in a match. It's the kind of move you throw out when your opponent is doing something predictable for some easy damage the first time you play them for awhile - after that they adjust their patterns accordingly, and you can't hit them with it anymore. OF COURSE you can beat master hand and crazy hand... That doesn't mean anything, they have obvious patterns that anyone could catch on to. There are no CPU-controlled enemies that are in any way difficult to beat.

My predictions for changing characters are:

-Ganondorf get his own moves
-Mewtwo could become stronger but lose a bit of his combo abilities (in SSBM, he's the weakest offensive-wise but the best at doing combos)
-Pichu's offensive power is SERIOUSLY reduced but he gets a range and defensive boost (in SSBM, he's the strongest character offensively actually... but his range and defensive abilities are rock-bottom)
-Zelda's defensive power is increased (in SSBM, she is a LOT less endurant than Sheik actually)
-Game & Watch's moves would be better balanced (there are some of his attacks that are cheap while he got moves that barely do anything)
-Mario would jump higher (he's supposed to be good at jumping, remember? In SSBM, he is one of the weakest jumpers!)
-Peach's priority for her moves would be lowered but her speed could be increased a bit (she was a bit slow but her attacks had insane priority; almost unblockable)

As for new characters... we shall see but I hope we get more villains.

So far, we have Bowser, Ganondorf, and Mewtwo as playable characters.

We also get Dark Bowser (NOT Giant Bowser. Giant Bowser is bigger and stronger while having less endurance) and Giga Bowser (only game where he actually look different from regular Bowser) as last bosses... but I count them as alternate versions of Bowser still.

Total: 3 villains + 2 boss-only versions of 1 of those villains

New characters that would be awesome:
- Meta Knight
- Space Pirate (Metroid)
- Kid Icarus
- King DeeDee, hey there's Bowser?
- The green dude from all the F-Zero's
- Diddy Kong

And of course, as we all wish ... a handful of people from the Sonic team. It would be awesome, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

Anyways, I hope this time around the characters are more diverse. SSBM sure, it had say Mario and Dr. Mario, but were they really that different? I liked Dr. Mario more, but he was just 'slightly' stronger, yet slower; but in the end that's really not that big of a difference to have a completely new character.

So I hope this time around we'll see brand new characters with completely new moves and such. Yeah SSBM had that, but not a whole lot of it.

As for my best character prediction, I can't say. Characters will probably change. In the original SSB, I liked Kirby the best and was awesome with him, but as for SSBM I really didn't like him at all. So I won't be surprised if a couple of characters a changed up a bit.

"43 GCN - for some reason it has screenshots from SSBM and FF: Crystal Chronicles. Im not sure if this is implying you can download GC games, that these will work over Wifi, or simply that they will work with the Rev."

There's afew possibilities, it's possible they could rerelease a version of SSBM and such built for Revolution Wi-Fi to allow playing of the original, or perhaps downloads for the Revolution that take the needed data when playing SSBM and send it over the wi-fi interface, or perhaps a whole new set of code could be loaded into the ram overtop the original game. SSBM would make sense to do this to, in SSB to SSBM some characters changed, and if anything done for the Revolution edition was unliked, like for example making Ganon use a new moveset, they simply could go back to the old game. Or wait for them to release an old style Ganon downloadable character.

Yea, but that might take a large amount of memory in a memory device (BTW, what is the revolution using?), or have to be downloaded every time you wanted to use ganon.

The magazine listed some info about the revolution's online capabilities but so far as I know that list was not in it and was in fact made up by someone, someguy.

I want to play as a Goomba!

You could do such cool things with a more powerful system. Imagine having random physics like with Paper Mario, so that when you jump...The wind could take you, or you fall down in random patterns. This could be the ultimate, the primo game of all time. Just need to utilize the fans, is all.
