Is it bad to link to megagames.com? They don't have any warez, and this isn't illegal.
Seriously, this "omfg u linced 2 zat" phobia is lame. Nobody can get in trouble for linking to ROM sites, however, linking to the files is bad. |

Yes, something like Alcohol 120% or Daemon Tools. |

I'm pretty sure there are programs you can use to rip the CD as an ISO (or possibly just plain files) and make a 'fake' CD drive out of it. I'm not sure whether it'd work though. |

(1) Overriding the protections in GTA3 requires x86 hacking of the .exe file itself (2) There are places outthere that already has this done for you but board rules state I can't give out this information in person (3) You need several programs that look at the memory state to see what the program is doing |

Hi.
I own GTA 3 for the pc but I hate the requirement of having the cd to play.
My only guess would be to put the PLAY cd's data in a folder somewhere and tell a file to read from that insted of cd drive.
What file is that?
I know a little about hacking games but not enough to do any good. The last and only game I could sucessfull hack is duke nukem3D but that's childsplay. Even still, I don't know enough to do anything serious except change yours and enemies stats. |
