I'm pretty sure Basilisks can turn people to stone with their gaze, a guy on the Kouga side has scary eyes. This is how much I've understood of the title ;P.

I really don't like this whole
Spoiler:
Imbalance. I mean like 3 major Kouga ninja(Not counting Danjo) have been killed while basically none of the Iga. (Aside from Ogen, of course)

I know that they don't play that big of a role since that does in fact happen at the end of ep1.

Yeah, if you would have watched more than 1 episode you'd know the older couple doesn't play that big of a role ...

Spoiler:

In fact, didn't they even die in the first episode? ...

Speed Grapher's undertones and overall atmosphere are really intriguing. Basilisk is kind of cool. However, I have yet to see a "ninja" anime where the characters are actually ninja and don't all have their own exclusive spell/technique thing.

Heh.

It's funny, the only anime I actually own (and have, including my hardrive) is the first DVD of Trigun. My friend just gave it to me for the heck of it.

I leech off my friends.
- One friend's been watching anime for about 10+ years now, so he knows the old roots.
- One friend's constantly got at least one torrent going, and has so much anime downloaded he's only seen about half of it.
- One friend finds himself obsessed with series (Twelve Kingdoms, recently) and buys all the DVD's.

Man, Speed Grapher?!

All I have to say to that anime so far is, "What the hell?"

Nothing like old ninja's that kick serious ass.

Ok, this anime doesn't entirely revolve around old people, just 2 old clans that hate eachother to the death, while as one person from one clan, loves someone from the other as that person does too. (Ok if that didn't make sense, a Guy and Girl are in love from the opposite clans, Romeo and Juliet, eh? )

It's up to episode 4 currently, and I'd say this anime seems really promising. Good (yet wacky at times) action, great music, very slick art style, and the plot does seem promising.

I'd recommend it to Ninja / Samurai, Love / Action fans.
