Well duh, the Mario Party games are for "Parties!".

Yeah, they suck in Single player, or having to have a bot play with a group or something. It's rather much more fun with friends ...

I will agree though that the older ones were better.

Mario Party 3 was my favorite one, and I've played the first four. Made the mistake of buying MP4.

Rogue Leader has a co-op mode, but that's only two players. It also has a competitive mode, again though, I think that's only two players.

Aw, the first installments of Mario Party were good games. It was when the series appeared on the GC it started to suck. (At least I think so. Never played MP3.)

You could import the japanese Four Swords+. Navi Trackers is an incredibly enjoyable multiplayer game. Too bad it requires GBAs and GC/GBA-cables.

I am with you R2H2, I HATE MARIO PARTY! The AI is bad... plus when playing with friends I always win... not fun anymore.

SSBM: Don't know why...
Kirby's Air Ride: I love the City Trial. That mode is more competition than anything...

Actually, that is all the multiplayer I have played... believe it or not... nobody at home wants to play with me... and when they do, it is on games that they actually have a chance on (Halo 2, Star Wars Episode III, DDR, other stuff like that). THEY CAN'T BEAT ME ON THE GAMECUBE!!!

I never played Assault 2 player... or anything else that I own 2 player... funny...

I must be like the only guy here who can't stand Mario Party. Multiplayer's not too bad with 4 people but anything involving the AI is a huge pain, because the AI is a huge pain that always seems to have a very convenient outcome from everything.

It's been awhile since my friends and I have sat down to play a "Gamecube" game together.

But, in the past games that we did play often were:
- SSBM: Surprise, surprise.
- Super Monkey Ball 1-2: Most of my friends just gave up all the time, myself and only about one other person were really good at this game.
- Mario Party: I know how fun it is to make fun of how many of these games there are out there, but ... heck, they're fun at times.
- Mario Kart DD: We never played this game too much, I just personally didn't like it as much as the previous Mario Kart games ...

That's probably it, honestly.

Edit: Now that I think about it, and I've owned Prime 2 since it came out ... I have NEVER played it on multiplayer. Gah, that's what happens when all your friends hate the Cube basically.

Eh, that's a old name of Starfox: Assault.

...sometimes it takes awhile for me to get used to namechanges.

To be honest, i'm probably one of the few who had a chanche to play Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles with two other players.

And I found it more tedious than anything.

Zelda Four swords is better when it comes to GBA>GCN connectivity. It also uses it in more clever way...

There is also Starfox Assault, which have a nice multplayer if you like the Starfox series. It's alot better than SF64, who had very poor multiplayer (the match could easily turn into stalemate due how easy it was to evade shots in SF64...)

Edit: Assault, ASSAULT! XD

No, Viewtiful Joe isn't two player. One player switches back and forth between the two main characters.

Viewtiful joe 2 isn't 2 player?

I've played SSBM, but it's kind of boring. DONT KILL ME! I've played it once and liked it but have no intention of owning it. STOP DONT KILL ME!

And i reeeeaalllyyy want to play The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures
but i dont own 1 gba let alone 4 of them.

never heard of Custom robo or tales of symphonia, I'll look into those.

SSBM! SSBM! SSBM!

Sorry, but I had to state the obvious. SSBM!

I'd like to know what your favorite multiplayer (up to 4 players preferred) games for the NGC. We need more but cannot find any that look fun.

So far we've played the hell out of Mario Kart, same goes for monkeyball 1, 2, and don't see a reason to buy monkeyball deluxe. Hunter is just a craptacular game. beat TMNT while renting. Beat X-men Legends with no replay value.

we haven't tried any of the mario party games. I think they look boring, but if you think otherwise let me know. I'd like to get Viewtiful Joe 2, but it's only two player.

oh and we hate 1st person shooters.
