Even better, to keep all happy, crop/scale it down a bit, and add the "pull my finger" text to the picture itself.

"saufen, junge" is a quote from a star trek spoof thats rather popular over here in germany.
i wasnt really expecting him replacing that pic in his signature.

just had to throw that in for good measure.

www.tototek.com for your retro console "development hardware" which you will be sure to use "legally."

as a rule of thumb:

bs games do run on a normal snes, but in most cases, you'll have to modify them to avoid glitches.

be sure to test the game on an emulator that doesnt support the satellaview rom map first.

common issues are:
-the real time clock register reads have to be patched, cause some games only allow play during certain time periods. i dont remember the regs offhand, but i can
look them up again.

-many bs games use the bsx bios font.
you'll have to append the font to the rom and change the pointers to point to your appended font.

-you'll have to include some sort of "normal" internal nintendo header(not talking about a 512byte copier header here) into the rom to make it work reliably on backup units.
at least, designate rom/sram size, lorom/hirom and rom speed.

the intro one guy coded for bs zelda is totally fucked up unfortunately.
his spc communcation handler doesnt work on a real snes and he writes to vram during vblank aswell.
i dont think theres an easy way to fix this thing at all.
youd be better off writing your own intro.

most ofl these things require very in-depth hacking and programming knowledge and are by no means suitable for beginners.

what do you mean by "cant get started" and "make a table file", exactly?
are your trying to translate the game?

[edit]
just noticed, youre the guy that mailed me about the bs zelda issue some time ago.
im afraid theres nobody with specific satellaview experience here.
i think i'll have another look at it later,k?

Im trying to put a rom of bs zelda on an actual cartridge, but ive hit a few snags. Seems i have to get rid of the title screen, due to some issues with VBLANK. Ive read all the tutorials but i really cant get started or make a table file that makes the text make any sense. CAn anyone give me any tips on how to get started, because id really rather play this game on a real snes. Also, since the game needs to be patched, should i hack the intro from the patched rom or the patch itself?
