about the bonus level, open up the header info for the level, then see how many screens it has listed. go to the screen numbered one less than the number of screens it has in the ehader, then select everything in that screen and delete it. sometimes tile 25 (empty tile) gets accidentally placed there.

Hey, sweet. It's always nice to see new graphics for the title screen. Not many people go through the trouble. Just clean up the fonts some with some shading (though you don't have much to work with in 2BPP, even a little bit helps) and what have you, and you're well on your way.

The screenshots suck, so I'm not going to play this. I can critique the screenshots, though...

1. Ugh. Could it look less professional? I understand you haven't done much work on the hack, but really, creating title screen graphics should be one of the first things you do... At least before you make screenshots of the title screen and show them off

2. The block graphics look horribly out of place, and you've got the "status bar problem". Just move the background to a palette other than 0 and 1 (palette 3 is generally a good idea), it's not at all hard...

3. Ugh. The difference in luminosity between "lit up" paths and unactivated paths is too great. It's rather ugly, and it almost strains the eyes. In fact, the palette in general is pretty poor here. Additionally, a lot of the ripped graphics you insert rather look like they're flat on the surface thanks to the difference in perspective.

4. Looks rather nice, actually. I think the cave would be better if you made it lighter, though. I'm rather flattered that you chose to use my graphics for the ghosts.

5. The palettework is poor. It's rather dull having the background and foreground being shades of the same color... And there's a nasty clash between the SMW goomba and the SMAS goomba. The styles are too different... You'll need to rework the graphics on one of them.

6. Ugh. Green and brown? It's ugly. And the jellyfish shouldn't be that color Status bar again.

7. Graphics aren't too bad but the palettes need to be reworked. Additionally, the background is... Really far down...

To comment on the pics:

1) Looks good, love the Santa hat. The stars in the corners are a nice touch.
2) Status bar problems == bad. The background is nice; plain but not boring. The coins are a bit bland though, and the ! block looks odd having the border outside of it.
3) Kinda bad colours, looks good though. Yay for using castles besides the generic default one.
4) Nice. Don't see a lot of haunted caves. The BG is good and it's all dark and spooky. Great ghosts too.
5) Ack, too much brown! The two 2D Goombas (with 2 different palettes ) next to the 3D one are a nasty clash too.
6) Bad palettes, including the status bar. Mario looks like he's swimming in the air.
7) Not bad (status bar again though ) but the background is way too far down. If you really wanted to just have the mountain's peak up there, you should at least add clouds or something. (And wouldn't a place that high up be all icy? )

BTW, some tips:
-Cut the borders out of the pics. For best results use ZSnes's screenshot function (and make sure to choose PNG, not BMP!) and turn the clock off first.
-Page background sucks and doesn't fit high resolutions. Bright red is a no-no.

In a bonus game, it scrolled over to the side, revieling the a repeat of the sprites in the bonus room. It had the spining blocks, and the 1-up mushroom apeared over there too. Not sure if yoshi would apear, since I didn't think to test. Is this intentional, or a bug? Also, how long is this demo? It's atleast 3 worlds(baised on how far I've gotten)! how big is the final going to be? Also, some of the Levels seem way too short.
