This is fun! We should duel this over with large, steel broad swords or something.
okay, okay. I don't like enticing fights either. And no offense taken with the sarcasm thing. I just like being a smart-ass sometimes... okay, all the time.

Why the fuck does everyone keep saying I'm being pointlessly argumental?

Sarcasm? No, I really thought everyone knew, and I'm taking it back when I find out that no, there are still people that don't. No sarcasm about it.

Your sarcasm has been duly noted and thoroughly enjoyed. Take that you non-keep-lunar magic 1.62-thread-stickied meatheads! (not that I should be talking...)

Thanks for the advice you guys!
The problem was that I was using LM version 1.43 when I came across said issue. I have downloaded the current version and all has been remedied. Except, of course, for the big dent in my forehead when I realized what smwedit was saying:

"(if you don't see it, maybe you need to download the latest LM from http://fusoya.panicus.org)"

and said "DOH!" Don't worry, my Mario Hack won't look ANY as dumb as Homer is.

And remeber no questions are stupid ones unless you make of them!

In the overworld editor. The toolbar at the top. Click on the Lakitu button. It's on the far right of the row just to the right of the reload/save buttons and just to the left of the 8x8 overworld/16x16 overworld/event overworld tile selector buttons. Then Drag Mario around.

Alternatively (and probably a great deal easier): In the overworld editor, Hit the tab button on your keyboard, then drag Mario around.
I said the same thing, just in different words.

In the Overworld editor, look under the menu "Overworld". There should be a button with Lakitu's head on.

Please pardon my apparant stupidity, but...
A lakitu head in the toolbar of the overworld editor? I realize what a dumb-dumb I sound like for asking such a question, but I'm afraid I'm not seeing a Lakitu head in the toolbar.
So much for working with Lunar Magic for a year, eh?
Maybe my brain decided it doesn't want to recognise what a "toolbar" is anymore...

click on the lakitu head in the toolbar in the overworld editor, and you will see a mario on yoshi's house, or where yoshi's house was originally, then just move him around to the place you want him.

I apologize for the newbie-ness of this question but I've been working on my mario hack for more than a year now and I'm stuck on something concerning the overworld.

Is it possible to dictate where mario starts on the overworld when the game begins?

I guess if I have to, I'll work around this if I can't dictate a starting point but things would be sooo much cooler if I could start mario somewhere else!
