It's like this thing that everyone's supposed to know what it means but then I don't. Oh come off it. I like you, man. I really do. But you had to realize that saying that like you did was causing more trouble than it solved. All I'm saying is that you could have handled it a little better than you did and still made your point.

I wasn't flaming him. I wasn't trying to flame him. As for the html bit... No shit, sherlock I was just using that to indicate that the previous bit was just that. It's a lot easier to type out <<z>/fucking obvious> than it is to do to, well, you get the idea. I wasn't trying to offend anyone. It's not really my fault no one here got it, I've said similiar things before with html that isn't to indicate what's in the tag and everyone understood what it meant Don't yell at me

Well, if you could change the way mario's powerup status is read, and forsook cape / fire flower powerups, you could probably use RAM address 7E0019. The you would just have to stop mario from loading up his cape, and fire mario from chagning his palette, as well as stopping them from being able to do their respective attacks, you could easily make a 4-point health meter, albiet an invisble one. Mushrooms could increase your health, as well. All you would need to do to make it bigger, would be to enlarge the powerup tables to avoid messed-up forms, and you could have a bigger health bar.

@JJ - Sounds fine to me. I'd be happy to be able to be civil.

Well, if only you could make mario have more hit points somehow, rather than have powerups, that would be a good use of ASM.

Whoa there, easy guys. Of all the ridiculous things to have an argument about, you guys had to pick this. To cut this potentially long reprimand short:

JaCory - It would be a good idea to avoid taking the bait next time someone responds like Blisseh did. Sure, he was probably doing it just to rile you up, that doesn't mean you gotta give him what he wants.

Everyone - Don't make me close someone else's thread because you can't keep a debate or discussion civil. That's a good way to get yourself in a bad situation.

But what makes you think he knows ASM? And I wasn't flaming you, or attempting to flame you. In the future can you learn what things mean before you use them in sentences? Thanks It would also help if you took a class on reading comprehension. Clearly, I was saying that what I said was fucking obvious, not that how to implement it and animate it properly was fucking obvious. This would have been fucking obvious if you knew even the slightest thing about html, because then you would know that is a closing tag, causing the formatting done by the associated tag to end. Kay? Kay.

I'm tired of your ass trying to flame me every time I atemp to help someone or give someone advice. I was refering to how me made the animation react with the chucks HP. If he managed to raise Marios HP somehow he could use BMF's hack as a reference on adding the lifebar to react with Mario's HP. So unless you can make an animation that reacts with a characters HP in the game its not so "</fucking obvious>" now is it?

I remember BMF putting a lifebar on a chuck, he never really went into details on how he accomplished it though I don't believe.

I think there was a document that had how to add a power bar to enemies.

Anyway, try this, it may work:

Use that SNES9x debugger (sorry I forgot the name), and open up SMAS. Now open up SMB2 and trace when the status hearts change. You may beable to use that code and apply it to mario. Im talking out of my ass here, I have no clue what Im saying, it just sounds like it may work.

The noobiest question ever would be: "What is LM used for?"
