whats the problem with using a tool to calculate the checksum?
if there are no such tools, youd have the hack the game to use a standard (i think) 6102 cic.
its been a long time since i touched n64, but i think there are patches out there that do the job.
i just recall offhand how you do ntsc/pal fixes.  |

OK, I have absolutely no business being in the ROM hacking section, seing as I dont hack or understand any of the hack-speak you guys use. However, my friend is hacking F-Zero X and he asked me if I knew anyone that could help him with it...
...and obviously this is where you guys come in He said he needs (and Im going to quote from him since I dont know what he means):
"a CIC-NUS-6106 CRC-generation algorithm so I can change some of the text in the ROM without use of an external utility."
