Thanks for the help everyone. I'm working on the Zookeeper's graphics now, and then I'll do the SEEEECRET level and then It Is Done.

Or... he could wait until SST comes out, but then again, it just means the hack will be released MUCH later.

1. If it's about the GFX set, I think he was talking to JJ
2. If it's about him working on the GFX set... you should let him then (Look on the workshop - His rips are fucking AWESOME)

My suggestion... Just make sure it's using the castle music.

And make fire tiles that damage you if you touch them while not on Yoshi. (This is obvious, but meh, it'll look cooler when you animate them )

I have an idea of how to end the exploding spaceship thing. First, though; do you plan on using the same tileset (or a similar one) for the final stage? If so, near the end of the level, have Ninji jump off the spaceship and drop down through the atmosphere (with obstacles, falling debris, and enemy sprites, of course) and place goal blocks at the bottom. Put ground blocks about 10 tiles from the exit to ensure that Ninji doesn't die after it clears the stage. The idea is that he'll land on The Zookeper's escape pod, so decorate it with The Zookeeper's emblem or something. For the final stage, make a hallway with 3 doors, each one with different obstacles, similar to Bowser's Castle in the original game. Be sure to add nice backgrounds. Make the GFX similar to the X-Naut Fortress in Paper Mario 2. I'll leave the final boss's room open for your ideas.

Hmm, interesting ideas all. I'll see what I can do.

To elaborate on the level, it involves Yoshi, with Ninji atop, charging through part of this spacestation thing (You'll see) to get to the last level, which will be The Zookeeper's inner chambers.

So yeah, a "hole in the hull" could work. Anything else?

And smwedit? No.

I concur. An exploding spaceship would just be SO cool to play in.

Dude, Trashykins, go with the exploding ship idea. It would be soooo cool!

Yes, but to make it not cheap, put the movement blocks 10-12 tiles left and right from the pit and over the pit itself.

Earthquake block? OMG I NEED THAT!!! No, seriously. I'm going to use this idea in my hack, and I would greatly appreciate it if you sent me the block; in exchange, I will give you a spot in the credits.

...need I say it? smwedit, you've been told many, many times NOT TO POST USELESS STUFF! First off, this tileset might be Trashy's own tileset. Second, he might not want it on the ExGFX workshop. Third, if he did want it on there, he would do it himself and wouldn't need you to do it.

*sighs* And yet, nothing is being done...

...that is way too fast... so fast that if Mario is running at full speed, he would still not be fast enough to stay in the middle.

Yet, an autoscroll with the ship exploding... now that would be cool. Have some pipes that shoot steam (and hurt, custom block or pirahna plants, whatever you think is best) and then have Yoshi after a few broken bridges and stuff. Then after you get Yoshi, you have to run and jump a huge gap caused by the ship's parts falling down. And if you use blocktool, you can make it to where it seems like all the air is being sucked out of the ship (the moving blocks that push Ninji) to give it a more... spacey feel.

Geez, that just gave me an idea for a level in my hack...

OH! And I can send you the code to use my custom block via Blocktool that causes an earthquake when you touch it. You will have to patch Map16plus.ips (something like that) to get it to work properly as it changes to the next block in the Map16 when touched. That could add to the "OMG! THE SHIP'S EXPLODING!" feeling...

But that is up to you...

I could give you some ideas. Have you released a demo lately? Or some pics?(sorry, I was grounded for two weeks) Here's my idea: Since you're using a spaceship tileset, how about making that level a sort of "escape section", where you have to use Yoshi to get out alive. It would work out like this:

-The fastest auto-scroll possible.
-Explosions, both in BG and FG. (Animated hurt blocks, people!)
-"Burning ground tile". Make it behave like a black piranha plant
so Yoshi can walk over it.
-"Molten ground tile". Use the standard lava tile for this.
- Bottomless pits, top AND bottom. It's an exploding spaceship,
remember?
-Sensitive block that breaks itselft and the tile below it when Mario
walks on it and sets the broken tile to 25(blank). You might need
ASM for this. (I don't know any, though.)
-Metroid-style timer. Imperative in any "escape the base/spaceship/
fortress/whatever" levels. Ask BMF for this one.

If you need any additional help with the level, send it to me via e-mail to:
mariedvega@aol.com, and I'll see what I can do.

He said it's in the SPACESHIP tileset, so that should tell you what kinda "world" it is.

It might be kinda cool to see an airship level where you have to use the always-flying Blue Yoshi, maybe.

OK, long story short, I have writers block, I'm on the last non-boss level, and to be honest I'm burnt out on this fucking spaceship tileset. . So I turn to you guys for ideas for this last level.

The basic idea of it is that it's a rampage from start to finish, with Yoshi as a mighty steed. If you have some nice level design ideas, etc, please tell me, I want to finish this!
