No this shouldn't be added to the completed hacks thread because [most likely] once the update is released it will not only be a list of SMW hacks but will also include several tutorials... it just wouldn't fit in as well as your thinking.

Pikachu025: Image format and sizes? Reason: This is a beta. I released this, because I saw some of you showing an interest in finding new/old smw hacks. In the end I'll change them all to one format and some of the images will reduce in size.

Graviteh: I'm going to add (like you see on some of them) if they are incomplete (I know it says uncomplete heh) or complete. I'll most likly note if the hack is discontinued or not. As for the format? I've used some of the ideas that were used in that list and modified it to do what I wanted.

** Looked at what you said again **

Do you mean add this to the completed hack list thread? Right now I don't see a point, because this one seems to be doing fine. Besides if you mean add the download or the same info in the thread, it'd be more work to put it into the thread, because I have it basically done. All I'm doing now is reviews between all my other dozen (or so) of hobbies.

Edit: Status Update: JaCory is helping with the level editor section of the tutorial. Thanks JaCory!

Good work otherwise.

Actually, they will, if you have a webpage that references them as images. How do you think I get around the off-site linking restriction that Angelfire has in place these days?

And I could take some more current screenshots of my hack if you want, just give me a little bit to do it. I'm already so far behind on my release schedule (hello, the Winter set. It's been almost 6 months since I said I would release it) that it could be a while.

why not add this "Games to watch out for" at the bottom of the Completed hack list?

So... I'll take out Super Mario World - The Lost Levels from the Original (Level Changes) section. The version that says 2003, 2004 instead...I don't think I have that on the list. If I do I'm overlooking it due to trying to do this quick (going out the door in a min...heh). Though just to make sure, that SMW+4 is real right? Also if you want your hacks on the list send them to me. I actually was looking for them.

On another note, did Sendy finish any hack? If so which ones? Which ones didn't he complete?

Also, if there's a hack you think should be in the list let me know and if possible give me contact info from the author of the hack and website (or in some cases, thread).

Also, I'd be glad to add your other hacks, but give me a link with pictures and stuff.

Well, none of my SMW+ hacks are online anymore. Not that I wanted them on your list, I was just curious to why SMW+4 was the only one shown . As for the fake screens, the last two are fake screens I made to trick people, and the first one is the title screen from the April Fools Day '05 version, since it reads copyright 2003-2005 at the bottom. The first version says 2003, 2004 instead. Even though I'm not continuing it, Aioria said he was continuing it but I haven't heard from him in weeks .

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the LM 1.62 thread pretty inactive?

Juggi-Wan: If you have later screens show me a link. Every picture I have is from ether a thread or site. For the reviews, however, I'm taking screens as I play. I've already finished a review of the Super Mario Bros remake by peter ac.

Edit: As for making another list? Maybe after I finish the tutorial. I have too much to do right now. I'm working on my own hack (still...remember Mario in Fractious Dimensions? Well it's not that anymore and it's going to be a lot better...anyways) and revamping my site, doing the tutorial, trying to learn some php, write stories, eat, sleep... (Wish I could skip those last two...or at least sleep heh).

Edit #2: Also if I were to make other game lists don't expect a tutorial on how to hack the game to come with it...

Really nice list, a good place to look if people want to find upcoming hacks or hunt down some classics (well...older hacks at least ). But how come SMW+4 is the only hack in the SMW+ series shown? There's nothing really special about that one in the series, it has graphic and level changes like the rest of my hacks. Also, you posted the fake screens of SMW The Lost Levels that were used for the April Fools Day version, so it's better to use something real .

Good list though, maybe you should make one for other game hacks too. Such as Yoshi's Island, if you need one, see the gaudy advertisement below .

I'd appreciate it if the screenshots you used from my hack weren't so old. Seriously, some of those are outdated by a couple years.

Edit: Fixed my (most) atrocious grammar problems.

Thanks for the links and such. I've seen Ghetto World, but I never got a chance to edit it. Ice Board, I found that a few days ago, but thinks for the link anyways. As for the finished hacks database, I think I've seen it though I'm not sure I added a note on my todo list for it. I'm doing that now and I'll look over it. Thanks for that. All help is welcome.

P.S. If you do help me and I forget to add you for something or whatever let me know after release (it'll be a bit...don't expect over night ).

Well, I'd recommend using the information from my finished hacks database, for one. That's why I'm curious as to whether the ones I'm not familiar are complete (and don't suck), because then that would imply that my database is incomplete. Which it probably is.

Playing through all the hacks and reviewing them would seem to be a daunting task. Keeping the tutorial updated would be even more daunting - that's why I concentrate on completed hacks, because then I won't have to keep modifying and updating things. But I'll assume you've forseen this difficulty and are willing to deal with it.

Also, you might went to check out the Ice Board and make additions. Specifically, I guess, there's Ghetto World, which I haven't added to my list because it hasn't gotten any attention here and it's... not very good.

I will and such. I have to play them all and review them for you all. I guess you could call this a beta? Thanks for the complaments. If you wish to aid me with my tutorial I will give credit where's due and I'll make it look professional and stuff (if you want to know what I mean look at my overworld tutorial to see the level of quality I'm talking about for presentation and info). My idea is to make a tutorial that will cover everything for Lunar Magic (or Super Mario World for that matter). I'd say Overworld as of right now 99% complete due to the release FuSoYa made a while ago. Then I need to work on the Level Design and doing Graphics and ExGraphics and explain how to do hex effectivly and if possible ASM for SMW.

I don't know everything I'm going to have in the tutorial very well. I'd say I'm really good at level design and overworld design. Graphics I'm working and I think I'm doing good. ExGraphics I need help with. Hex and ASM I need help with (though I do have a few tutorials for hex that I'm going to read over soon, so I might not need help for that, but if you want I won't refuse). I'll take help for anything. I'm also going to inclue offsets and other things. Secrets, etc. Whatever you or I can think of. Again, any help is appreciated.

Edit: As for a sticky I don't see a need for it unless you really want it. I wouldn't want this stickied until the tutorial is complete...just for the fact I think too many people will download and not read to see it's incomplete (heh).

Wow, very nice job! This gets my vote for download of the month. There were a few images that didn't show up, only a few, but hell I wasn't even expecting images. Also if you specified weather a hack was complete or not that would also be great. Other than that you did a stupendous job Lordlazer. This diserves to be stickied if you ask me.

Very nice. A lot of hacks I haven't seen yet, especially the Japanese ones.

Which ones are complete, though? That's the main thing I'm wondering. I don't have much of an interest in incomplete hacks at the moment

For those looking for new hacks here you go. I was making a list of hacks that I thought would be fun to play. This is going to be added to my tutorial to help motavate people and maybe give them ideas if they get stuck (or something...*shrugs*). This is no where near complete. Before releasing this I was going to review them all and take off those that are really bad (if there are any), but due to people looking I thought I'd help you out. To view the page you'll have to open the file GameWatch.htm. Enjoy... As usual if you have an ideas for the list or hacks that you think are neat please post in this thread and I'll add them.

Download List

Edit: Actually the title isn't 100% correct, because these aren't necessarily new.
