Here is the latest version of the picture:

(It's still not finished...)

It's alright ... especially in Paint.

However, a few other things you might want to work on.

1) The tail. It's straight. In essence, the tail should droop down behind her because of the effects of gravity.

2) Part of the picture looks round. The other part looks flat. That's bad. You put a lot of work into making some of her body, like the face, look nice and round, but you don't pay as much attention to other parts of the body. They are: the legs, clothing, tail, and arms. For example, you might want to consider shadowing the clothes ... if you can call them that (maybe loin undies would be a better choice of words) ... so that it goes better with the picture.

3) Now to bring about the dreaded perspective problem!!! *lightning, thunder, stuff* Perspective, if you don't know, is the rule that the farther away an object, person, or thing is, the smaller it seems. Now, the dagger farthest away in the picture, looks bigger than the one that is closer to the viewer. The same goes for the "foxgirl"'s hands, arms, legs, feet and other stuffers.

4) Last one, promise. I understand, feet are very difficult to do, but those are just weird looking (although it is apparent you've spent extra time on them.) Not only do the feet look awkward, but it looks like one leg's shorter than the other. Once again, it's a perspective problem for both the feet and legs.

Last little notes:

a) Next time you try something new, you may want to try to model out a better (and more challenging) pose for your "foxgirl".

b) When working with pixels, you may want to try a different kind of outline besides the one you're using now, like having it be a darker green. It would make it seem less flat.

c) With MS Paint, there is a way to make the lines smoother (but I'm really not certain on the matter since I hardly use it myself.) You might want to try working on a larger scale with your drawings, then minimizing it.

d) That's it for now. Keep up the work. I know my criticism may seem overwhelming, but ... didn't I mention it's pretty good for someone starting out and using MS Paint?

I don't even remember seeing somthing that actually looks decent like this drawn from MS Paint before. Anyway, it looks good. I think you could've done better, but it's pretty good as of now. Nice work.

It isn't really that bad.

In fact, for something done in MSPaint, it's excellent

Update:

(It still isn't really finished, though. I still need to work on the shading and curvature.)

Things I changed:
- I moved her right shoulder back a bit.
- I tried to fix her hips and thighs. (...and probably fucked up horribly)
- I attempted to give her left side some depth.

By the way, "soften" + "MS Paint" = DOES NOT COMPUTE.

Oh, and next time, save it in PNG, or at least GIF, format.

Well...my version of MS Paint doesn't even allow saving in PNG. And when I tried to save it in GIF, it butchered the shading very badly.

Yeah, Vystrix's already said it.

You need to make more curves in general, in pretty much everything. Arms, legs, torso, tail, pretty much everything except the weapons could stand some softening and curving.

When drawing the female body, avoid straight lines as much as possible

The face is good, like already mentioned.

Not necessarily; the face looks alright. The major problems I see are:
  • She has hardly any hips to speak of.
  • Her right shoulder (her right side = left side of image) is out too far; it should be partially behind the chest.
  • Her legs (thighs and calves) are straight, not curvy.
Another nitpick would be that, although her left shoulder (her left side = right side of image) looks passable, the side of her breast should have been shaded in to give depth; it kinda looks like one breast is wider than the other.

Oh, and next time, save it in PNG, or at least GIF, format.

(The JPEG artifacts make it look better than it really is.)

If nothing else, this is proof that one of the following things sucks:
a) MS Paint
b) me, at MS Paint

edit: I'm aware of some shading problems. I'm going to try to fix the shading in later versions of this picture.
