See if you can connect with the firewall off, it might be acting up. If some programs can do it, then the connection is getting through. |

It was already on Passive. Didn't work. Also I tried Active Mode, and it didn't work either. |

make sure you try using a passive connection, that usually works..atleast thats what its always on for me, and it works fine. |

I'm trying to connect to my FTP using SmartFTP, but when it tries to connect, it gives me the error: "No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it." I've been trying different things for over four hours, and nothing works. I have checked, and my login & connection information is correct
I thought it was McAfee Privacy Service that my dad installed that was making the problem, since it was the only thing different on the system since last time I connected. I had my dad disable it. Still didn't work.
I checked my Firewall. The allowed/blocked programs list shows it.
I tried using a different FTP program. Nothing.
The only way I CAN get in is through web-browser FTP (such as net2ftp)
What is wrong? |
