Hey, there's nothing wrong with backing up your ROM. Granted, it's highly unlikely the palette editor's going to corrupt your ROM, but as the old, overused saying goes, "better safe than sorry."
Personally, I make a backup copy once every few LM sessions, and every time I make major modifications. They've come in handy on a couple of occasions, at least... |

What the fuck? There is no need to back up the ROM before custom paletting. No need whatsoever. Just disable the custom palette if something goes wrong, it all reverts to normal. |

Make sure you absolutely know what you're doing, and back up the rom or something before you try |

Enable custom palette, and in the palette editor (the star icon), click on the palette color(s) you want to edit, enter the value(s) you want, and save. It if doesn't want to let you save, move something and move it right back. Really very easy. |

I never really learned how to make a custom pallete...Like say i wanted to have various shades of grey...well help me out! |
