The shitty thing with those tools i used pcx2sopt, you can't use it unless the PCX is an version 2 PCX format and which i could only find using PSP 5 could save it as that!. Which sucks unless you have psp.

btw, i would really like to see another util that does this for ya.

make it index colored 16 or less, save as bitmap, open in paint, copy, open YY-chr, and paste

True, the only difficulty is getting them into the correct format beforehand. And given the state of half of this board, I don't find it hard to believe that such a conversion would be out of their grasp.

Note: Not referring to anyone specifically, of course.

never heard of pcx2snes, eh?
there are several conversion utilities out there.
google is your friend.

personally, i tend to use pcx2snes by neviksti, but gif2sopt isnt bad, either.

Or, depending on the output format, someone could write a conversion utility. I'm not naming any names, but I do have quite a bit of experience with graphics formats. Point me to the document on the output format (I realize it's just BMP format, which is frugging simple to understand, but there ARE different BMP formats) and I could whip something up.

How can I convert the *.bmp VRAM GFX into *.bin GFX ?

Is there any way of inserting a *.bmp VRAM GFX into the ROM ?


U get the VRAM GFX by pressing 0 in the BG MAPPER.
