eternaldragonx - that pic was the result of me seeing if I even could change the character. Turns out, yep.
DAVALLR - I use tile layer pro. When you open a GBA ROM, find the graphics and play with the = and - keys to tweak the offsets. Although I DO know a guy who was putting Mario (from superstar saga) into Sonic Battle using yy-chr.
Heian-794 - Hex editor. You can get values for colors (to search for, etc) in VBA's pallete veiwer. Remember the bytes are litte-endian in the ROM though!
For making your own colors, you can use Icy Guy's GBA color picker or my RGB to GBA color converter:

Forgive the ignorant question, Heran Bago, but can you hack a ROM's palette directly using VBA? I thought you had to go through a hex editor. If you can do it directly, how do you do it? |

i think knux should be in the game since he havent had a solo game to himself.by the way how do you do that by replacing goku with sonic or did u do it with yy-chr because i was trying to see if i can do crash bandicoot fighting forces or mario super fighters.that would be alsome if you can help me out with that.please. |

Changing the graphics In GBA games is the same as NES games, just more time consuming. Hell, With VBA, pallete hacking is easy as hell too. |

Actually, I think that Tails would be the best choice since he can fly (for the flying sequences) and is the only one with an actual arm cannon-type weapon (see Sonic Battle).
In fact... while it would take a long time... it would be good to change the story and most of the major bosses (not the really big mechanical ones but maybe the other smaller ones... mainly the main villain of the game).
Anyway... could be an interesting idea. |

Remember back when I said I was making a ROM hack of Dragon Ball Advance Adventure called Sonic The Fighter? Well I've kinda started a sequel; a hack of Astro Boy: Omega Factor. Sure the first STF isn't done, but its never too eary to start #2 =P.
Anywho, I'm thinking that maybe I should go for another character for this game. Which sounds best to use instead of Sonic for this one:
Knuckles
Cream
Shadow
Amy
or keep Sonic. |
