I would prefere a Solstice Hack, For 2 reasons: Equinox sucked (compared to solstice), I know solstice's map-format, but I don't have enough ideas to create a new world. Actually there're some difficulties with some special blocks. Theres a half finished map-editor... by the moment it only displays the rooms. Sadly I've lost interest because of those damn invisible and special blocks, everything else is damn easy to edit. The hardest part was to find the room-pointer table

I was never making a castlevania hack, just finding data for it. I tend to jump from game to game and such. This one seems like I might be able to do more than just a mere edit for fun though.

BTW, I noticed a strange thing. For the sake of speed, I remaned my equinox game into 1equinox.smc, and for some reason the music is a bit messed up. Even if I copy a game with no music bug to that exact filename, it still messes up. You know, I have a theory, so off I go to remove the sram to see if that does somthing.

Edit: I updated the patch. What's fixed are 2 things. The first is a music bug I've discovered, and the second is though some sort of accident, I think I removed the intro. Other than that, no changes. Right now I'm going to start work on Tori. With 34 rooms, it's going to really tax my abilities to create.

You may find this REALLY messed up when I say it... but... well... *pre-emptively hides*

I like Solstice better than Equinox

Ok, now save the heckling for later.

Anyway, Jiggly, I know you are quite a good hacker, and I would likely enjoy any hack of a game I previously tolerated (at least) that you made, but I would be more likely to enjoy a hack of Solstice for some reason. Then again, I'm just crazy.

Hey, did you ever finish that GBA hack of the Castlevania game that you starting?

I don't know about that. It's a big game, and there's lots of rooms, and the level format is kind of complicated. Besides that, my attention towards games comes and goes. It took me 2 days to re-do 16 rooms, and that's not even fiddling with pointers.

BTW, has anybody gotten the token in room 03 yet? The one on the spike? That's not a bug, you've got to jump off it just as you collect it. If I re-do another level, I will do more to take advantage of that.

Absoloutely mate. Do you think you're likely to realise a complete overhaul?

Seriously, I love Equinox. Easily one of my favorites, something I play through every year or two.

Would anybody play it? I mean, the game is kind of hard, and unpopular, and it's got a bug that means you need to use Snes9x or have a fast computer.

Anyway, I've been doing somthing for the last couple days, and once I can get some screenshots, I'll post them. If anybody is intrested, I'll post the patch. Basically, the first level is totally redone, and made different.
