((Sorry, I didn't realize the similarities. Atleast I'm more purer in my description ))

Chuchu: *looks at Mel* Practicing your Grinching?

Davenport: Alright, you can choose any empty seat you like. If it belonged to anyone, serves them right for not being here on time, am I right?

There was a weak laugh coming from Nakase as she stumbled around, looking for a chair.

(... Emeralds, huh?)

A red hat appeared in a window in the back corner of the room. It rose a little, and a pair of eyes popped out from under it, along with a shock of brown hair. The window slid open, and Mel slid in head-first through the window, falling to the floor and crawling about like a slug to his desk, slowly rising up in his chair. He barely resisted the temptation to call out "AWISE FROM YOUR GWAAAVE."

Chuchu: Hey-ey!

Kirby: And where have you been?

Chuchu: Poking around. I saw the new girl!

Kirby: Really? Was she really rowdy or something?

Chuchu: Actually...

Once again, the homeroom teacher popped inside.

Davenport: Oh! Good! Most of you are here.

The teacher skips over to the center of the front of the room.

Davenport: We have a new student, and she was a doozy to get into this class, lemme tell you. She hails all the way from Osaka--

Kirby: Ayumi Kasuga?!

Davenport: No, silly. I meant to say she came from an American airbase located near Osaka, Japan. Please welcome Miss Nakase Hikari. *looks at the door* Well, come on..

A girl with long, brown hair stepped inside the room. She wore an all white wardrobe; a white, baggy pair of pants and a white, long sleeved shirt. Her eyes seemed like emeralds as the morning sun pierced the windows.

Nakase: Hi. Um.. I'm Nakase Hikari. Um..

Davenport: Oh, you odn't have to try so hard!

Nakase: Huh?

Davenport: You can speak in your native tounge if you like. Some students are learning japanese, and I'm sure the others could use the culture.

Nakase: But I don't know how to spe--

Davenport: Don't try so hard on your first day! Go ahead, say "konichiwa".

Nakase: Um... Ok.. K-kon-itchy-wan.. m-minna-san.

Grey: "Well, yeah..."

He streched as he entered the room after Guts and JD. Fridays were Detention Days... He wasn't really looking forward to serving his time, and Star didn't seem to be in today. 'Guess it was just his luck.

"Didn't you remember to turn your clock back?"

Just then, a pre-school annoucement rang out...

PA: "Attention, all Students... Due to the sudden coming of Daylight Savings Time at a completely unscheduled moment and certainly out of line with the changing of the seasons, the resulting temporal disorientation has caused any and all detention passes that were handed out within the first two days of school to be revoked and rendered null. As such, After School Detention will not be held today. Regardless of how many school rules were broken yesterday. That is all."

Grey's eyes widened, and a dumbfounded look crossed his face as he pulled his detention pass from yesterday out of his pocket. He grinned like an idiot, tossed the paper into the trash can, and jumped up and down, cheering.

Grey: "Yes! Yes! Woo! Yeah!"

Kirby: People! Finally!

Kirby caught his outburst and calmed down. He shifted his eyes and continued to look out the window.

Kirby: Uh.. Is it daylight savings or something? No one seems to be here on time.

Just then, two familiar figures entered the room.

Guts: -and he says, "It was me first day with the hook!"

Kirby was twidling his thumbs, waiting for someone he knew to appear. He nodded his head a bit.

Kirby: Yep..... A wee bit too early.

All of a sudden, the classroom door flew open, and a head with long hair popped in.

Ms. Davenport: Hey you.

Kirby: Hm?

Ms. Davenport: You seen a girl with long, brown hair, and wearing white clothes?

Kirby: Isn't that a bit too general?

Ms. Davenport: C'mon, kid. All white clothes?

Kirby: Hum, I guess people in this area dress like that here...

Ms. Davenport: Whatever. Ohh, darn, where is she?!

And with that, the head popped back out, with a door slamming shut, reminding how lonely Kirby was inside the room.

Kirby: Meh. What was that about?

That morning, Mel walked downstairs with a slight hop in his step, to see his father sitting at the kitchen table, a large glass cylinder with water and a large metal ball in it in his arms.

Naru: I wish you wouldn't toy with the Shizuma drive at the table, honey.

Umino: Now, Naru, it's perfectly harm-

A jet of free energy shot out one end of the Shizuma drive, a sudden yellow blast that only lasted for a half-second, yet left Umino's face completely blackened. He blinked, then slowly set the Shizuma drive down.

Umino: Yes, dear. T_T

Mel decided he would pick up breakfast on the way to school that morning. Such were the ways of his father - a blender salesman who was an inventor in his spare time. He was always playing around with something new, and usually having it explode in his face before he worked out all the kinks. Mel lamented on these thoughts as he picked up his skateboard from beside the door and exited, flinging it onto the sidewalk as he left, and giving the ripcord a pull.

((*flails arms* I had a nice post going on until the computer froze))
((Sidenote: I'm fastforwarding a tiny bit.)

Kirby found himself climbing the steps to the school. Chuchu ditched him in what seemed to be a typical fashion. However, he still made it before homeroom started.

Kirby: Daylights savings or something? Eh, whatever.

Kirby skipped over to the classroom. He was rather anxious to meet the foreign student, since he it'd be the first time he'd be meeting someone that far across the seas.

Kirby popped his head into the homeroom, and noticed Ms. Davenport wasn't there yet. He shrugged and stepped inside and wandered over to a seat near the window.

The Anti-Exs were among the first to arrive as they had nothing better to do than to hang around, planning to do evil stuff... or rather, Siryx was rambling about how evil and scary he was while the others listened.

Siryx: "Here we are! Another day begins and yet another step in our plan for world domination is made! MUWAHAHAHA!!!"

Lieutenant Shadow: "Humm... Boss? Why are you acting like that?"

Assassin: "I have the feeling that his teenager hormones have caused his brain to shrink at a rate of 3000%."

Siryx: "WHAT?!?"

Assassin: "You used never to speak about being evil or stuff like that... you just were. You know, we were universally feared as cold, silent, cruel villains... not as ridiculous showoffs!"

Siryx: "What are you talking about?!? I'm every bit as evil as I was when I was an adult!"

Lieutenant Shadow: "Listen to yourself! You sound like a common bully!"

Siryx: "Oh yeah? PURPLE!"

Lieutenant Shadow screamed like a girl. Every student turned to face the Anti-Exs...

Fierce Deity: "Err... let's just... go... yeah... let's go..."

Assassin: "Level of stupidity too high. Retreat."

Siryx: "Yes! YES! Run! MUWHAHAHAHA!!!"

A random teacher arrived...

Teacher: "What is happening here?!? You! The humanoid orange mouse! What's happening here?"

Siryx: "HA! You pathetic mortal! You may believe that you have the control of this world for now... but eventually I will conquer the world! Yes I will! MUWAHAHAHA!!!"

Teacher: "I have no patience for games!"

Lieutenant Shadow: "Mister! He's... he's a big MEANIE! He said the most horrific word possible to me! I'm so scared..."

Teacher: "Look. This is high school. We have no time for insane people or little babies."

Siryx: "WHAT?!? You'll pay for this insult! I shall scratch your car with my keys!"

Teacher: "Do that you and you'll get some serious punishment!"

Siryx: "I dare you!"

Teacher: "You want to play such a childish game? I can be childish too! You both get detention!"

Lieutenant Shadow: "But... I didn't do anything!"

Siryx: "YOU... YOU WILL PAY FOR THIS!!!"

The teacher left while Siryx's face turned red with rage. He couldn't believe this! How can a mere being like boss him around like that?!? He WILL take his revenge! That teacher will know who is the boss around here!

During this time, Lieutenant Shadow progressively calmed down and walked away, embarassed at his own reactions...

Lieutenant Shadow *thinks* I must get my act together... This... word... isn't that scary... People won't take me seriously if I scream each time someone says that... word...

...

During this time...

...

Ex arrived in front of the classroom and sat down next to the door. She opened a book and begun to study... when she heard a scream.

Ex: "I'm happy those bullies finally get the humiliation they deserve!"

Ex smiled as she studied, waiting for the teacher to arrive and unlock door so she could get in the classroom...

...

In front of another classroom, two of the twelve "Ex" beings were discussing...

Jenny: "So... where's the Squad Leader?"

Jessica: "Squad Leader Ex Lightheart is in front of her classroom, studying."

Jenny: "I see... I still don't understand the instructions we were given very well... I mean, there's no villains to fight in this world and the Anti-Exs are quite... lame."

Jessica: "I know... this whole mission is just a big joke, isn't it? Well... let's just consider this as some kind of vacation..."

Jenny: "A vacation where we must work on remembering stupid stuff such as grammar rules or math equations. I don't call THAT a vacation!"

Jessica: "This could be worse. The only two sane Anti-Exs could try to bully us around..."

Fierce Deity: "Someone spoke about us?"

Assassin: "Target acquired."

The two turned to see the white young link clone and the high-tech robot staring at them. Fierce Deity was grinning evilly... The two "Ex" beings frowned...

Jenny: "You said something?"

Jessica: "Yes: Where's the Squad Leader when you need her?"

Kirby notices someone familar moving rather quick-like.

Kirby: Chuch. Are we late or something?

Chuchu: Nah, probably one of those early bird guys. Oh! Hey! Guess what?

Kirby: Hm?

Chuchu: I hear we're gonna be getting a foreign exchange student in our class.

Kirby: Which class?

Chuchu: The class that we're in. You know, the one we start at homeroom with.

Kirby: Oh yeah... Do you know where he's from?

Chuchu: Can't say. My connections whom have connections with teachers say Davenport hooked someone with Kansai connections.

Kirby: Can-say?

Chuchu: I think it's Japanese.

Kirby: Kansai. Hum... Aren't people trouble makers there?

Chuchu: I dunno. You're the one who reads up on stereotypes online.

Kirby: Meh.

It's not 'Running in the 90s' this time, it's Jim's Big Ego's 'Stress' that blares as Grey tumbles down the stairs and slams his face into the bottom for the second day in a row. He's not gonna be late today, that's for sure. Breakfast, reads the sticky note from his mom, and suddenly he's out the door, on his way to that kid Kirby's house to attempt yet again desperately to make friends with people.

He dashes down the street, hoping to catch the early birds on their way to class, and in his rock-solid focus does not realize that he actually lives just down the street from them, meaning his haste was senselessly wasted, and realized upon about 20 or so metres ahead of Kirby. Grey looks back, and cocks his head to the side...

Grey: "Huh, what do you know... I guess being late does have its disadvantages."

Kirby: Alright, I'm going now.

Chuchu: Kirb! Wait for me, please?

Kirby: I was hoping to get there on tim--

Chuchu: Done.

Kirby: Whatever it was, that was quick.

Chuchu: I had to finish up making Prof Matter's lunch.

Kirby: Hm? Why'd did that take you so long to make?

Chuchu: Since he left so early, I didn't realize he didn't get a lunch for work. Since he's one of the teachers that work at the same school, I just thought I would do that.

Chuchu and Kirby walk out the door and begin their trek to school.

Kirby: Hum... I think Gooey would train interesting students.

Chuchu: Come to think of it, I don't even know if he's a real teacher. I've never heard anyone talk about him... Probably works in the basement of the school or something.

Meanwhile, in the mountains north of town...

Guts smacked his alarm clock as he sat up in his bed. His brown hair was in its rarer, hatless state at the moment. He got up with a stretch and headed for the bathroom.

One shower, change of clothes, brush of teeth, etc. later...

Guts emerged in the kitchen in his usual attire. At one end of the table sat his Uncle Wily, mostly hidden behind a newspaper, and a couple seats away was Guts's older cousin, Quinton Wily. Quint was currently attending the college in town.

Guts had lived with his Uncle Wily and his cousins for several years now. His father and uncle were the founders of one of the biggest tech companies in the world, Light Wily Enterprises. It had started up as a small business, but a few technological innovations later and it was a household name. Guts's father, Thomas Light, usually handled the business side of things, and did a lot of traveling as a result. His Uncle Albert Wily, meanwhile, preferred to focus on what got them well known in the first place, technological innovations, and as a result he mainly stayed here in his humongous part-lab part-house. Though, admittedly, the house part was fairly large so as to accommodate Wily's many sons. Guts preferred staying in one place to moving around a lot, so he moved in with his uncle.

Guts: *throws some Pop-Tarts in the toaster* Well, the first day of school went rather well. I didn't even get detention.

Quint: Well, that's a good omen, as far as you go.

Guts: Yeah...

The toaster popped, and Guts quickly freed his breakfast from its grasp. He ate them in about two bites each.

Guts: You ready to go?

Quint: *finishes his cereal and puts the bowl in the sink.* Sure.

((This story doesn't have any basis aside from some events I want to happen, so I suppose it could work for the time being ))

And then the morning comes.

Another bright and sunny day was on the horizon for Calisota. A sudden crashing sound coming from the living room had woken up Kirby from his dream. He looks around and blinks for a bit.

Kirby: Oh yeah... school.... Yay! Friday morning! Woo!

OFF: *Bang head on wall*

CANNOT! BELIEVE! I! DID! NOT! POST!

*stops banging head*

Anyway... I had clearly no ideas after my only post... but I guess it's time to get some posts in since the other RPs I'm in are slowing down.

...and all the characters living "normal lives!"? Too weird and potentially interesting to pass this opportunity!

NOTE: If you believe that the characters just can't work in the RP, then tell me and I'll delete this post.

Well, at least, I tried!

At a really, really dark place... evil was gathering! MUWAHAHAHA!

Lieutenant Shadow: "Turn on the f*****g lamp, d*****s! How can I do my homework in such a darkness?!?"

*CLICK!*

Lieutenant Shadow: "NOW that's better!"

Siryx: "HEY!!! What is that idea?!? A good villain always stands in complete darkness after work, preparing it's next EVIL plans!"

Lieutenant Shadow: "You know... I'm not sure that "lobbing water balloons at annoying electric rats" count as an evil plan."

Siryx: "HMPH! Not like you did much better! "Paint the cafeteria's walls purple becease that purple is evil and scares teenagers" isn't much of an evil plan either!"

Lieutenant Shadow: "WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?!? Purple is, like, PURE evil! It's freaky! It would have traumatised all the students and teachers for life!"

Fierce Deity: "It would have traumatised YOU for life! No one here is afraid of a stupid color exept you!"

Lieutenant Shadow stood up, enraged.

Lieutenant Shadow: "WHAT DID YOU SAY?!?"

Fierce Deity grinned.

Fierce Deity: "I say: purple."

Lieutenant Shadow: "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARG!!! THE WORLD IS ENDING!!!"

Lieutenant Shadow jumped behind the couch of the Anti-Exs' appartment.

Siryx: "You MORON! You know what effects it has on him! He'll stay hidden there for a full hour now!"

Fierce Deity: "Sorry Boss..."

Siryx: "No excuses! Just don't say "purple" in front of him again, OK?"

Lieutenant Shadow: "AAAAAAAAAAAAARG!!! PURPLE!!! MOMMY!!!"

Fierce Deity pointed at Siryx and laughed while the leader of the Anti-Exs looked down...

Siryx *whispering to himself*: "Oh great NeoBowser... How could we, the Anti-Exs, the UEN's champions, fall so low?"

Captain Dark: "Maybe becoze yo talking yo self!"

Siryx: "Shut up."

BLAAAAM!!!

Siryx punched Captain Dark right in the face! He then went toward the kitchen, hoping there would be some EVIL snacks for him to eat like the EVIL mastermind he is! Yeah! And then, he'll do his EVIL homework and work on his next EVIL plan for the next EVIL day! MUWAHAHAHAHA!!! EVIL!!!

...

During this time...

...

Ex stood there, staring at the twelve mouse girls in front of her. She was trying to get their attention... but they kept on ignoring her, whispering stuff to each others, and giggling like school girls... which was a bit normal since they ARE school girls!... the problem here was that Ex had no patience for this. She wanted to get this done ASAP so she could do her homework and hopefully eat something before midnight.

Ex: "OK... I'm trying to get your attention now!"

Still more whispering... Ex's right eye begun to twitch... The urge to kill rose in her mind... but she resisted the urge. Unstead, she decided to express her frustration in a noticeable but still polite way...

Ex: "WILL YOU SHUT IT YOU RETARDED MICE B*****S?!?"

Errr... maybe in a not so polite way after all... in fact, just forget about the "polite" part, OK?

Anyway, all the "Ex" beings stopped their stupid whispering and giggling stuff and turned to face their leader, their faces pale...

Jenny: "That word was SO not cool..."

Melissa: "My ears... they're bleeding..."

Jessica: "We are NOT that!... altought I did got myself six boyfriends on my first day!"

Jenny and Melissa stared at Jessica in an odd way...

Jessica: "Errr... maybe two?"

They shrugged and turned to Ex, who was still enraged... altought, thankfully, she was no longer yelling.

Ex: "I'm trying to get your attention, see? Now, it is your job to complete the homeworks each of your teachers gave you!"

The "Ex" beings smiled. This should be an easy job for the ultimate life-forms created by the Hunters! But first... Melissa wants some explanations about her assignment...

Melissa: "Err... my Maths Assignment speaks of a plane going around a storm using odd angles... Where must I go to assist that plane?"

Ex felt the urge to bang her head on the wall. She hadn't eaten yet, her homework wasn't done, the teachers had a bad first impression of her, the Anti-Exs bullied her non-stop between classes, and now, the other "Ex" beings proved to her that they had a serious lack of something called "common sense".

It's weird... she can infiltrate a mechanical planet by herself, defeat several deities all by herself, hammer the psychological endurance of any prisonner during interogation, survive any torture, escape from any prison...

...and yet, a simple mission to pass a year on a normal, non-violent world as a teenager proves to be too much for her, the almighty Ex Lightheart, hero of the great war against the UEN and wielder of Dark Weapon?

How can she fail to do the simple tasks of a teenager when she can do nearly anything else?... and it's not like she isn't used to normal life either! She had a successful and happy life with Erdrick back on Dimension 8! She raised a wonderful family, had a thrilling and important job, was respected both by her numerous friends and by her family, loved and was loved of her children...

...and yet, both her experience as a soldier and as an adult could not prepare her for the life of a teenager?

WTF?!?

((Hum... Might have to do some more time traveling.))

Kirby leaned back on his comfortable office-like chair after completing his unusual amount of homework from the first day of school. He let out a sigh as he let all the memories flow into his mind after draining the thoughts of problems out of his head.

Kirby: I'm still amazed Schala goes to this school... Even more amazed she acts just like she does online...

Chuchu: Hey!

Chuchu popped her head into Kirby's room. Kirby nearly fell off his seat from the random intrusion.

Kirby: Whoa!

Chuchu: Food's ready.

Kirby: Oooh, great. Though, that took a while.

Chuchu: Food takes a while to make when there's more than six people living in the same house, you know.

Kirby: Yeah yeah... but shouldn't you have had help?

Chuchu: Why don't you help? You and me are the only cooks in the house.

Kirby: Seriously?

Chuchu: They're all just a bunch of lazy bums.

Pitch: I heard that, mang!

JDavis: Outta my way!!

JDavis came speeding past Twister and Melvin on his bike, moving directly between the two. He went rushing down Big Hill at break-neck speed, doing a bunny-hop near the bottom so as to jump all the way across the intersecting lane of traffic. A green convertible sped underneath him as he did so. Once he came back in contact with the ground, he just kept going, as if nothing had happened.

JDavis: If there's one part of the day I enjoy, heading over to the dojo is probably it. ... Or maybe lunch. Or P.E. Too many choices

As JDavis approached one of the larger houses in town, specifically the one that belonged to the Zeal family, he spotted something purple resting upon the fence. He slowed his bike to a stop, perfectly even with it. Now that he wasn't moving so fast, JDavis could tell that it was a purple cat. The tag on its collar read "ALFADOR"

JDavis: A cat...

Slowly, so as not to scare it away, JDavis raised his hand toward the cat, planning to pet it. The cat simply stared at JDavis, completely unconcerned. However, once JDavis's hand got about an inch from its head...

*CHOMP*

The cat had bit down on JDavis's outstretched hand.

JDavis: Ow...

From behind Melvin came the sound of another pair of wheels rolling on the pavement. Twister, riding goofy, was gaining on the nerd and his motorized skateboard thanks to the last downhill. He pushed hard on the pavement several times to pull even with Melvin, and it took even more energy out of him to keep up with him having no gravity to push him along the flat surface.

Twister: Turn off that engine of yours, Mel, and I'll race you down the next Big Hill. How about it?

The community's Big Hill was also its largest elevation drop. To make it from top to bottom without chickening out, falling, or dying was a feet few have conquered, and Twister was one of those few. The hill also posed the threat of necessity to stop on a dime ... because if a skater didn't, they'd be headed straight for a major road.

Twister egged Melvin on a few more times before the edge of the hill came.

In the meantime, Zap was dressed and ready for the day's Cross Country. Although he wasn't too sure where the day had passed, he knew this had been what he was looking forward to. The camaraderie of the team members and the physical and psychological challenge it posed made it, in his opinion, the best sport the Fall season could offer.

He was hanging out by the shed (the team's official meeting spot) with a few other teammates waiting for other veterans and freshmen to show up, not to mention the coach. This year was going to be their year. The senior and junior class at Orange High School was the best the school had seen in years, and regional champs was a real possibility. Zap was going to be a part of the winning team this year for certain, having logged in a solid 16:30 5K at the time trial held a few weeks before school began. It gave him the humble sixth spot on the varsity team (out of seven spots,) but that was only for the time being.

A few of his fellow teammates made it into the clearing, chugging around their huge dufflebags, and started distracting himself with banter and a tennis ball one of them had brought.
