yes, i'll add some of the ones i ripped for my own hack, Mario Legends, mainly in some of the last levels of the last worlds. There will be new areas and some new levels too. What i mean by 'new levels' are levels totally changed from the original hack (there will be around 5 only, though), not actually extra ones.
current status: finishing world 5
And, for people info, the game will remain challenging and somewhat hard. But at least it'll be playable on a SNES. That's the idea, make it in a difficult level that would cause it to be playable in a video-game system, with no use of any kinda cheating. |

ROMs unlocked with RLM have been playable since v1.0. v1.1 and v1.2 only fixed bugs with the overworld; the bug fixed in v1.1 made hacked overworlds playable; the bug fixed in v1.2 made the overworld 'editable' in Lunar Magic.
peter_ac, I would advise against that. If it's not your hack, it's not your hack. And you don't deserve credit for it. ;o |

Maybe I should make a hack where it is SO incredibly easy, you'd wish you were still playing the hard verison of Luigi's Adventure and MarioXWorldSER. |

No swedit, the new version makes the games playable.
@parasyte: of course. i'm only going to put my name in the credits of marioxworldser.
@Aioria: okay |

wait, I thought that RLM made a game not playable, but readable with lunar magic. |

Whatever you do, it would be wise to respect the author (Anikiti?) of the hack. Make an easy-type Luigi's Adventure, sure! But don't go plastering your name all over it. In fact, I'd have to suggest leaving your name completely out of it [Unless maybe you mention something about easy-type changes in a readme, or such.] Releasing it is completely up to you; and so is going about how you release it. Getting permission is always quite a nice gesture, if nothing more. |

@peter: i love that Luigi sprite, but i think we could use the smb3 one in a possible easier remake of Luigi's Quest, to make a lot of different looks for Luigi
I think he'd approve it too peter It was a long time since he released his full version of L.A. and a lot of people still love it, and he doesn't seem to enjoy making hacks with a gradual difficulty level, he likes to make hard stages. And since a lot people complained about the excessive hardness of the game he would probably approve the idea, i guess he would like to see an easier version of his game too, or what other hackers can make with his hack.

Kyouji, don't worry since it will still be challenging. I am just making a lot of modifications in the first worlds to make the game has the difficulty rise of an ordinary commercial game you'd play in your SNES, without needing codes or any other trick of the sort.
It won't be like the normal Mario games, "jump - eat mushrooms - avoid the koopas" in a very easy game, it will be challenging, but still suitable to be played in a SNES
------------------------------- EDIT: I am currently "making world 3 - level 3" and i can say that this remake will have new areas AND NEW EXGFX IN THESE NEW AREAS. That means, there'll be some new stuff, new ideas, etc with the old Luigi's Adventure feel. |

How will it work? Quite possibly with the beautiful graphics and awesome level design it already has. Same with SER. |

Hmmm maybe i'll do the same with MarioXWorldSER. That game was unnecessarily hard too.
And the translation isn't any problem. i'm assuming it's the same storyline as the original anyway, because the whole overworld is like a mirror image of the original.
But he hasn't posted here in 4 months! Does anyone know where i can find him? |

Good idea...
easier + translation = good
However, keep the original Luigi sprite.
SMB3 Luigi sprite = nonoNO! |

Oh! I have an idea!
Why not put the SMB3 Luigi into the game? I could help you out with the graphics and coding required to animate him properly.
I'm not so sure Anikiti would approve of it though. What do ya think Aioria? |

As long as it keeps true to the feel of the original Luigi's Adventure or look like Anikiti's attempt to make the game easier, go ahead. I enjoyed the game but the difficulty is outragous. Save states are definitely needed. If this game ever was wanted to play on the actual system, no one would be able to beat it without save states, except for the exception of eliet players... then again, I doubt anyone is that good.
Have you tried asking Anikiti to make an easier version? I had to skip finding every secret in the sky world, it's hard enough to get past the level (I don't use GG codes).
Now I'm wondering, how are you making the levels easier? Less enemies, spikes, level design doesn't require exact timing to make jumps? |

Yeah man that sounds great, cause i hate difficult hacks! Go for it, and eh, good look with the translation! How many japanese speakers are on this board anyway? I can only think of two: KT, and of course Anikiti! |

Since now we have a new version of RLM, which fixed the overworld events' bug, i am now making the levels of Anikiti's Luigi's Adventure easier, in a way a Nintendo game would have been, with the difficulty level growing as you pass the levels, and not horribly hard stages that you have to use 1337897 save-states to play and lots of GG cheat codes.
I am making it for my own enjoyment, though. But i was thinking if it would be a good idea to release this if Anikiti let me. I am at world 2's castle currently, and so far i can say that it's being a nice and fun 'job'. I am also fixing some problems of the original hack (lots of level design related BUGS, few time limit in some levels, etc) and, if possible, a japanese to english translation will be made, or i'd simply change the messages in the message boxes.
Anyway, i forgot to make this as a poll (lolrofllolzrslamoxD), but just by reading your replies i guess i can have an idea of what i should do (release it or not...i of course would need Anikiti's authorization for it, but i'll just ask it at his board).
As you can see it's like a hack of another hack. I hope you guys are interested since imo the original levels were awfully hard and i'd like to play Anikiti's game without all those cheat-codes and save-stating
