its a checksum protection for sure. have you tried randomly changing single bytes in the rom at various places to see if its applied to the whole rom or just a small section? disabling it shouldnt be too hard

It's possible there's a checksum type thing too, I thought I heard something about that but I'm not sure. That'd make it quite a pain to hack though... |

My best guess would be that you somehow corrupted the save data.
Seriously though, you get that message most of the time when you change the ROM values and the game screws up.
Any idea which values you changed? if you knew that, if would be easy to give you the values that are supposed to be there. |

I've changed a few bytes to test the level headers... But, when I try to load the ROM, I get "Your saved data is corrupted."
Any ideas on wtf is going on? =\ |
