The most recent release.

PM or email me if you need help with the program.

I think there's a thread about it a few pages down. I can't remember which thread but Tile Counter was in the thread's name. Have a look and you might find a link to tile counter.

The newest version recognizes mirrors, only the first and crappy version didn't.

I may be able to do it.

Edit: would this be called "lion king be prepared BG"?

I think one was BGmapper. Another was pic2snes. I don't know too much, because I've never ripped (although I'd like to learn how).

I had no idea there was a program that could take out duplicate tiles!

Lol, there's one line to remember.

Well, when I tried deleting duplicates MANUALLY (which I had been doing for the past year omgomgomg), there were so many separate tiles that it took up more than the space of a single ExGFX file, but I got all caught up in it, so I ended up with a clutter of tiles, not knowing where they'd go! I seriously need help, but if you could tell me at least one of the names of the programs that delete duplicate tiles, I'd owe you my thanks countless times!

Why would that need 2 ExGFX files? The picture can be tiled into a smaller size, you know. The programs available will do that for you. Just check Zophar's.

I'm no newbie to SMW hacking, and I'm not lazy when it comes to ExGFX. But with this particular picture that I seriously want for my hack, I have spent hours, even DAYS trying to get this turned into two ExGFX files! (Yeah, it's that big ) And it just keeps bugging me since I wanna finish this level before moving on, so I'm at a standstill....

If anyone would like to help, please do! I've tried doing this on and off since March, but with no avail because i keep losing track of which 8x8's I've already deleted due to multiple tiles being the same.

Also, since this picture is complex, I wouldn't mind if someone made a map16 file for it, too.....

Thank you so much if you're willing to help!

Here's the picture

If you do so, would you mind submitting then to the ExGFX workshop? I'm sure people wouldn't mind another background up and ready for download, and I'd do it anyway if I got it, so why not?
