WOW its that easy? ill try it tommorow, noticed one more flaw, im using a poorly translated version of xp so when you enter your name , there are no letters there yet you can select them and they show up ?
do i just need a different version/patch? or is there a way to fix this? |

I don't have RMXP on that machine, but it's far easier than expected To enter a custom name, create an event with a "Enter Hero Name" command, which allows you to enter a screen with letters and your cursor, good old videogame style
The name will overwrite the default name of the selected hero. To display the name in a message, put
/n[<four-digit-hero-number>]
into a "Show Message" command. If you use the default hero, put it 0001 into the parantheses.

The only thing I could think of is that you rescript a few things in the script editor. No, I have no idea on how to perform that task or help on what your talking about... |

right my friend and i are making a game on rpg xp and i want to know how i would go about setting it up so first you can name all your hereos as you get them and so that when in conversation it says the name of the hero that you chose so for example
hero 1 is caled ash
so whenever ash speaks it says Ash: blah blah blah
i know i would have to type some sort of code in and use a variable or something but im not sure how to set this up, help would be appreciated,
also how would i set it up so that when a button is pressed during the battle the computer takes over the partner and when the button is pressed again its manual again, if i can figure out this i can make some pretty interesting ideas
