Nice job Schwa, that was a great battle. We must have another soon.
BTW, that emblem is wicked cool.
---

When Spaky and Spiky stopped spinning, Spaky collapsed out of exhaustion, though Spiky stood up, very wobbly. Speeky ran by, still on fire, but put it out by rolling. Their only foe left was Dejan, and they were running low on power...

"I missed!!? No way! Rrr... I've still got some fight left in me..."

Kaz attempts a Rocket Tackle, a moment too late... The Lizard Bros. arleady managed to whip up a Sonic Tornado, and Kaz has foolishly afterburnered directly in the center! The fierce, fast-moving attack knocks him SEVEN times from all sides before knocking him far into the background, whee he smashes against the canyon wall with incredible velocity.

Immediately boulders fall on him, burying him alive (for now)... then more boulders start slipping. In 12 seconds, a huge rockslide has started and is heading towards the bridge. It's tall enough to cover this bridge and will probably destroy it!

However, Kaz is down. The Lizard Bros. excellent teamwork had given them the cutting edge to defeat this combo-master.

That doesn't help the rockslide any, though...

OOC: Ah, maybe the Round Clear emblem was a little much, eh? Still, great battle! I have to challenge you again sometime.

Whether Spaky hit Dejan or not, he ran back around him to face him again. On his way, though, he caught a glimpse of Kaz launching a potentially lethal ball of energy at Spiky, which would be almost sure to KO him.

Spaky: I'll get back to you in a second.

He sped over to Spiky, and pulled him out of the way of the attack just in time to get the tips of his scales singed by the edge of the ball, which passed by him and hit a boulder far off in the distance, down in the canyon. Spaky and Spiky looked in awe at the power of the attack; the whole bottom was enveloped in a bright radiant light. Spaky smacked Spiky on the head.

Spaky: You ninny! What were you doing just standing there?!
Spiky: I -
Spaky: Ooh, your tail's charged. Wanna do a Sonic Tornado?

Spiky didn't get to answer before Spaky grabbed him by both arms and began spinning insanely fast, swinging Spiky's 2x charged tail around him. This attack would really, REALLY hurt; the danger is that a person caught in it would receive many high-powered strikes, since speed and power were combined for this move. Spaky spun his way over to Kaz quite quickly...when the attack ended, Spaky was affected with dizziness, and Spiky

Quick as lightning, the Probe backs off and upwards a few feet, and at the same time retalliates by shooting small fireballs at Speeky! They don't do a lot of damage, but it'll be enough to sting if not dodged or blocked at least.

HyperKaz holds the charged ball in his hands. He could've charged up more, but his idea is to attack THIS turn, before he morphes back to his normal form.

"The battle ends here, pathetic reptile! HAAH!!"

HyperKaz lets it fly! The sphere is flung at Spiky, moving very fast. This great sphere will do AMAZING damage if it hits a foe, and when it hits something it bursts into a small, temporary field of radiation (maybe about 7 seconds in duration), which will lower the physical defenses of anyone caught in it (unless they have Energy Resistance of some kind). What an amazing attack! Good thing HyperKaz was at Full Power or it would take at least 3 turns of charging to pull this off.

However, HyperKaz leaves himself wide open to any immediate attacks following this advanced move of his.

Full Power for 1 more turn...

Speeky eyed the probe circling him with concern, but decided that a normal jump-and-punch attack might suffice. After this he regarded Spiky, who was standing stiff, frozen in fear at the beam Kaz was charging.

Speeky: Spiky! Move!!!

Spiky still just stood there, wide-eyed, and charged his tail even more.

Meanwhile, Spaky was growing bored, and got caught off-guard by Dejan's attack. The sword attack hit him square in the chest, like intended. Spaky was sent flying; clearly, the attack had hit him hard. He recovered by rolling into a ball and popping out to land upright, just by the edge of the cliff. Spaky swung his arms for balance, and took a step toward land again.

Spaky: Okay, now I'm mad!

Spaky grabbed the ground with one arm, and his legs made a running motion in place. After a few seconds, he let go, and he got sent rocketing toward Dejan at his fastest speed yet! Halfway to Dejan, he jumped and did a rapid barrel roll, turning himself into a lethal spinning rocket, aimed right for Dejan's gut. Spaky caught fire on his way there, and would deal fire damage as well if he hit.

Dejan : I meant speed-up as an effect of the spell. I believe it would equivilate to about Double the speed of your Haste spells.

[Dejan dashes towards Spaky, becoming a blur of colors as he moves, mainly green due to his cloak. he jumps into the air, and brings his sword down attacking Spaky. His sword thrusting at Spaky's chest.]

Spiky's tail had slammed HyperKaz right after the third and final step of his combo. It knocked him backward. The others may now notice HyperKaz breathing heavily. Maybe he's losing! Maybe not...

HyperKaz notices the foe charging up.
"Time I bring out the Probe."

HyperKaz's eyes in the armor light up for a split second, and out of nowhere a tiny, UFO-shaped, silver robotic creature, giving off a low hum and hovering in front of HyperKaz. (Counts as a summoned creature.)

"Probe, keep the green one busy. I will handle Darky over here."

Probe flies tight circles around Speeky very fast, and is preparing to attack in some odd fashion... Meanwhile, HyperKaz charges up too; he holds his palms together and brings them apart, forming another energy sphere between them... but he's making this one BIG...

As the energy sphere was launched at Spiky after he was thrown through the air, Spiky hit it with his tail, and it was sent flying away. By pure coincidence, the energy sphere's trajectory was set toward Steak. When Kaz made his surprise attack, Speeky missed, but stopped in midair and flew toward Kaz again, with a little less strength in his attack now. Spiky was hit by each step of the combo, and after each hit his tail again flew around dangerously, threatening to strike Kaz. After the combo, Spiky fell to the ground weakly. Whether Speeky hit Kaz or not, he corrected his flight path so he landed by Spiky again.

Speeky: How're you doing, Spiky?
Spiky: I can still last a while.
Speeky: Charge up your tail attack; I have a good idea for this guy when he stops being hyper. Also, play defensively, I think he wants you out of the picture first because of your high attack power.
Spiky: Gulp.

Spiky's tail slightly darkened as he focused to increase his attack power. Speeky made no attack, but instead prepared himself to dodge any attack that Kaz might throw his way.

Spiky hits home, pummeling straight into HyperKaz. He grabs Spiky as they tumble backward, but after one 360 degree roll he throws Spiky off of him, backwards. He also launches another energy sphere at Spiky as Spiky is thrown backward.

Moments later, as the two Lizard Bros. discuss their next move, Kaz attacks before they can! Right on "Earth Tail" from Speeky, HyperKaz thrusts forward with his afterburner and is en route to slam Spiky with his outstretched fist... worse, it becomes a combo. After the fist slam, Kaz tries an uppercut with the other fist in an attempt to knock Spiky into the air, THEN thrusts upward in a backwards-flip kick to the head, which would knock him back down to earth!

Each hit, if it connected, would do excellent damage (since HyperKaz is at Full Power), BUT, since it was a combo, if the first attack did NOT connect, none of the others would either.

OOC: Since HyperKaz attacked Spiky before Earth Tail and that cool rolling attack were executed, obviously their actions could've been drastically changed from their current ones. That's why I didn't adress the two attacks they used on HyperKaz. Hope that clears up any possible confusion...

"Just Speed Up? Son...have you learned Haste or one of its improved forms...? Ya' might want to invest in that...you'll keep pace with that world-class sprinter. He's not *ten* times faster than you; I've followed his movements."

There's a bit of a snicker from the cloaked figure.

"I should start holding classes or something...pass on what I've learned over the years...and yet battlefield bravado never changes...."

A crunching sounds leaves from him...he summoned a bowl of popcorn.

Speeky vaguely saw a bright sphere of energy coming at him, though it was hard to tell from spinning so fast.

Speeky: Aah! Spiky, cut to the chase! We're finishing up now!

Speeky launched Spiky at Kaz with excellent, practiced aim. Whether Kaz got hit by Spiky was yet to be seen, but Speeky was struck by the ball and blown back onto the bridge. Lucky for him that was there. Afterward, they both stood in front of Kaz again on solid ground.

Spiky: We're running out of useful moves...
Speeky: Not yet. We can still get him, we just need to plan properly. Use your Earth Tail, and I'll try to get him from the air.

Spiky obediently held his tail back for a moment, and then swung it to the ground with extreme power. A fast moving, linear wave was sent moving through the ground, aimed at Kaz. At the same time, Speeky puffed into a ball, rolled in a circle against the ground without actually moving to gain energy, then let go, so he was flung at Kaz through the air with his spines outward. Both attacks would do the same amount of damage, and it would be difficult to avoid both of them at once, especially Speeky, since he tried his best to home into Kaz.

Spaky looked off to the side for a moment and saw Kaz launch his energy ball at Speeky and Spiky.

Spaky: Huh? Who's that? He looks strong.

His attention was again focused Dejan, however, when he used a speed up spell.

Dejan: Speed up spells are very helpful.
Spaky: Pah! Trust me, friend, you're going to need to use that again ten more times to match my speed! You may be a little faster now, but you'll never beat me when it comes to speed!

There was a whirl of dust, and in an instant Spaky was at the other side of the crater, facing Dejan.

Spaky: But all right, just try to keep up with me, then.

Spaky laughed and sped off toward Kaz, Speeky, and Spiky, leaving a trail of fire behind him that would burn Dejan if he followed Spaky's exact path, or crossed it.

Spaky: I wonder if he'll even try to follow...

Spaky halted a short distance behind Kaz, unbeknownst to him, at about the time that Spiky and Speeky made their move. Spaky waited for Dejan to come to him with an attack, and yawned to pass the time.

[Dejan stumbles backwards from the kick to the head.]

Dejan : If you insist.

[Dejan stands in the crater. He spreads his feet, and squares his body as if expecting a blow, but suddenly he begins to emit a green aura. The Aura grows until it encompasses the entire crater.]

Dejan : Speed up spells are very helpful.

When Spiky's tail hits the afterburner, all it does is singe the tail. It doesn't damage the afterburner. The burner seems to be a bunch of small holes in the armor that flame comes out of upon activation, so it can't be damaged unless the armor was pierced in the back somehow.

As Pinwheel moves closer to HyperKaz, he holds his hands together and a sphere of bright, alien energy forms there, floating between his hands. When he brings his hands apart, the sphere flies quickly at the two Lizard Bros. If it collides with anything, it'll create an explosion of energy that damages anything inside. (The explosive effect wouldn't be there if HyperKaz weren't in Full Power.)

HyperKaz hopes this attack will knock them out of the air. If not, he's bound to be slashed.

Master Meter = Full Power for 4 turns.

Speeky grinned as Kaz came at him.

Speeky: All according to plan. Spiky!
Spiky: What?
Speeky: Get over here!!!

Spiky started to walk slowly over to him, but Speeky grabbed him instead and leaped into the air, just over Kaz. Kaz passed right below the two, and as he was pulling out of his move, Speeky violently grabbed Spiky's tail and swung it down onto Kaz's afterburner, hoping to damage it, or even impair Kaz's flying for the battle. Kaz landed behind them, and they both landed on their feet facing him. Kaz made his speech about his Hyper form.

Spiky: This is getting ugly...
Speeky: Don't worry, he'll be uglier by the time we're through with him.
Spiky: I wish Spaky were here. What do we do?
Speeky: Try to avoid getting too close, to start. I know! How about Pinwheel?
Spiky: That sounds good.
Speeky: Let's go!

Spiky held on to Speeky while Speeky became a balloon again and floated upwards. Held in the air, Spiky rocked back and forth to create momentum, and soon had the two of them continually spinning in circles. Spiky's tail was extended outward, making a dangerous halo around them. Speeky floated in the air closer and closer to Kaz...

The cloaked figure snickers at HyperKaz's speech.

"Kids these days and melodramatic banter...geez...back in the day..., well, nah...it wouldn't interest any of you."

The cloaked figure fully turns towards Speeky, et. al., and begins walking towards them. The tassle of white hair stays relatively motionless. The bowed head and large hood still keep his face from view, though his baritone voice still sounds just as clear as before, and his cloak still hides the rest of his attire.

"Seems that every year I've found some new-fangled armour that, while spiffier, sleaker, and more 'state-of-the-art,' still doesn't provide the same kind of protection the old school Force Armour always did. Never, ever, forget the basics."

While not visible, except if somebody were to duck down and look up into the hood, there is a clear sense of the cloaked figure having an amused grin about Kaz's transformation.

26 points added to the Master Meter.

Master Meter = 105!

FULL POWER!!

OOC: When the Master Meter hits the 100 mark, Kaz goes into Full Power. Beware!!

Suddenly, right when Spiky and Speeky are about to make their attacks, Kaz starts glowing bright white! "Ha ha ha... Ah ha ha HA!!" Kaz laughs as he hits Full Power. As he glows, his armor morphs and completely changes shape; in 5 seconds he looks sleeker, sharper, and snazzier (hard to explain exactly). Now he looks more like a futuristic alien ninja than a spaceman!

And likewise, ALL his stats are better... for a while.

Spiky's tail smashes into the orbiting orb, but first it fires a few energy bolts at Spiky... When the tail hits, the orb is destroyed. The bolts do small damage, but can still cause a foe to flinch if moving. And when Speeky blows air at HyperKaz, the air starts to blow him back, but he leaps in the air and activates the afterburner, which propels him faster than the air can blow him away. He turns it into a Rocket Tackle aimed at Speeky, which does 60% more damage than before if it hits!

Either way, HyperKaz lands behind them both and faces them. He speaks, and his voice sounds less like a bionic machine and more like a bionic machine-snake/badger hybrid, whatever that sounds like.

"Surprised at my new form? Hmhm... I will tell you the secret. You foolish lizards have fallen into the trap of letting yourselves be hit too many times! For each hit you take, I store more energy for the transformation, until I have enough to morph... into HyperKaz! It is your own faults that you have released such a mighty foe against yourselves... and NOW, you must deal with it. So have at me, and see how you fare!"

HyperKaz's challenge is compelling, but it's all up to the two Lizard Bros. for who attacks first.

Master Meter = Full Power for 5 turns.

Speeky saw Kaz coming right at him through the air, and was too surprised to move out of the way in time, so instead he started spinning forward as fast as he could. The attack hit him, and he bounced to the ground. Since he was spinning forward, he was launched at Kaz again when he touched land, but pulled out of his ball and landed upright on the ground. Then the razors came at him. He tried to jump out of the way, but was cut by two of them in the process, which made him tumble over halfway through. As he was pulling himself up, he barely saw the fist coming at him in time to puff out again and bounce it away, still taking damage from it though. Speeky seemed to have a much higher defense when he was puffed with air.

Speeky: What a combo...Spiky, you see that floating purple thing?
Spiky: Uh...yeah?
Speeky: I don't trust it. You attack that; I'll take on this grumpy fellow.

Spiky nodded his consent, and waited until the metal sphere hovered into range to make a mighty upward swipe with his tail. The way the three were standing, Speeky was to the left of Kaz and Spiky was to the right, and Kaz was closest to the steep edge of the creek. Speeky moved in front of Kaz, took a moment to suck in a bunch of air, and then blew a strong gust of wind at him, with the hopes of blowing him off the cliff. Falling off would be fatal, and would probably take someone out for the rest of the fight...

OOC: Just to warn you (so you don't think I broke my own rules), points still get added to the Master Meter if the attack hits but is blocked, however the amount is cut in half.

8 points added to the Master Meter.

Kaz now does something completely unexpected-- he activates his afterburners and flies toward the Green Bullet attack, spinning in the process, for an advanced Rocket Tackle! The two fighters, at this rate, should collide at a very high speed, and the opposing forces should greatly damage both fighers!

But Kaz doesn't stop there-- he executes a combo. Taking out another steel sphere while flying backward, he chucks it at the ground to launch another disk flurry, THEN he holds his right fist out at Spiky, which breaks off the armor and flies at him propelled by a mini afterburner. All this... before landing on the ground on his back. (The fist returns to his arm no matter what happens.)

OR, if the Rocket Tackle ended up missing Speeky in midair, his combo would've never been executed and he would instead land on his feet behind Speeky and right in front of Spiky.

Master Meter = 79 + 12 for each normal hit and +4 for each razor hit.

OOC: You may think it's a bit much for Kaz to attack 3 times in one turn, but remember that Kaz's offensive strategy is all about combos.

The white tassle of hair dances about in the wind from Spaky's mad dashing. The cloaked figure lightly kicks a small rock on the ground next to his foot. It travels 2 feet...and falls into the crater. It tumbles down the side, picking up speed, and stops after tapping Dejan in the foot.

"Careful...that's kinda close...."

The hood of the cloak shifts some, towards Kaz and them, as the Green Bullet attack is executed. A sleeve shifts...a hand comes out...this time in plain sight...the skin is jett black. Its appearance seems disrupted some, as if through a mirage, but only for a split second. Anyone in the area with sensitivity to the Mystical Arts felt the local area's magickal balance shift in the cloaked figures general direction.

"Don't stop on my account. Please...continue."

Spaky staggers up from the attack and wobbles around dizzily.

Spaky: WaAaAaAa... that was wicked!

After shaking his head from side to side a few times in a fast motion, he did a back flip and prepared to charge again.

Spaky: All right, buddy, let's go! Yaaaaah!

Spaky ran in super fast circles around Dejan, aided by the curvature of the crater, and created a whirlwind of dust around him. Spaky's movement was so fast, he appeared to be a solid red ring around Dejan, and if Dejan were to try to track Spaky, he would be bound to get dizzy for a while. After a few seconds of doing this, Spaky unexpectedly jumped up and delivered a flip-kick into Dejan's head, then stumbled backward a bit from his own dizziness, after which he ran to the top of the crater and raspberried Dejan.

Spaky: Try to catch me, slowmo!

Back with Kaz, Spiky, and Speeky. Spiky stopped spinning when he could tell that his attack missed. He turned, grabbed his head to steady it, and faced Kaz.

Spiky: What's that, a metal ball? I'm NOT afraid of this!

It hit the ground and broke into a bunch of razors, which flew at Spiky menacingly. He yelped. Before the razors got a chance to hit Spiky, Speeky jumped in the way and puffed out into a huge, round ball! He bounced slowly through the air, perfectly shielding Spiky, and four razors connected to him and were deflected. He didn't seem to take much damage from them. After bounding out of the way, he deflated back to his original form and came to Spiky's side.

Spiky: Whoa, Speeky, I didn't know you were over here!
Speeky: Yeah, I thought you
