well, if you could get MikeyK to help with GFX loading routines, then couldn't you have a new sprite for the shooter levels?

That's totally wrong. You might or might not know but I'm against killing.


Just use sleeping gas and copy his entire hard drive.

Really though, I hope if/when this thing is released there'll be possible slight changes, like the position of whatever Mario is in is, what pose/es Mario changes to when fireing and such, or perhaps the ability to not have it shoot fireballs and have Mario shoot them if he has a fireflower(keeping the low or no bounce, say it's atmosphere)you could make a winged koopa shell sky surf minigame!

That's a terrible idea. I mean, just because he's an accomplished hacker and probably has all kinds of neat hacks that he hasn't released yet doesn't mean...

You know what BMF I would say F U but im a nice guy...

That was exactly my idea..fireballs and all! Damn you! DAMN YOU TO HELL! Oh and anyone notice that if you set Marios jump data(too lazy to look up) to 00 he jumps for infinity till you let go of the jump key? Its pretty fun you can do some whack stuff with it.

I already did this for a future side-scrolling shooter segment of SMO. What I did, IIRC, was set Mario's X/Y speed to zero and directly increment/decrement his X/Y position according to what directions are being pressed. I also hooked the fireball routine so it shoots them straight ahead at high speed when the "shooter" code is active. I may have to release this code separately sometime in the future.

Well Lakitu's cloud lets you do that technically but obviously that isn't what you want, unless it's just too slow, or you don't want the ability to hop out of it, or you just don't want them clouds... I'm sure if that was the case the magical people here could eventually make a simple edit afew hex to make it not do that type thing, they allways seem to be able to do such for "small" things...

This is a sad answer i hate to use it.
I think you gotta use ASM.
I hate it mostly 'cause i don't know it.
I don't think there is any data on how to do that
i could be wrong though.

Are there recorded data on how to make it so Mario can be controlled by moving him anywhere. Like if i hit Up the sprite moves up, or Down moves the sprite down,etc.
Kinda like if it where a sidescroller shooter, get it? Any help would be great!
