Back to reality I think was the best episode. I like the cat in it as Dwain Dibbley, and also when in series six with the emohawk takes out cats cool and basically turns him into Dwain

Backwards was brilliant but there were many faults in the backwards parts. The first one is when Rimmer and Kryten are in the cafe. Neither of the two women actually speaks backwards except for when the one who was uneating her cake said backwards "The service here is terrible". Also, they were hired for there novelty acts AFTER they got fired from it. And when Lister and Cat ate the pie and started the fight the man says "You've just scoffed my sodding pie. You bloody bastards". Technically he says this BEFORE they ate it. But I liked it anyway

I like doing little quizzes so heres a short question:
How many future echoes altogether did the crew see in "Future Echoes"?

I agree Kas is also a massive fan.

Only the first three series though mate? That means you count out "Gunmen of the Apocalypse" and "Back to Reality" out. I'd say Red Dwarf 7 is where the quality went seriously down-hill, that said I loved the return to form in VIII

...Like how Rimmer and Lister bicker over the use of the stasis pods in Stasis Leak. I've been a big fan of the show, and I've been watching it ever since the first re-run of Series 2. I was probably seven when I started watching it, now I'm 21

I'll vouch for Elmo that he's a big fan, and he'll probably do the same in return

The good news is that the movie is still go, the film is still waiting to go into pre-production. In a statement read out on Doug Naylor's behalf at Dimension Jump this year, he stated that he is still trying to find funding and a location to film. It might not seem logical, but the UK is a very expensive place to shoot. He's currently trying Australia, and the people he's run into along the way include Peter Jackson and Weta Digital, but sadly they are not to be involved in the project.

I like everything up to Red Dwarf VII, with the exception of Epideme and Smoke me a Kipper... I'm afraid Classic Dwarf remains routed in the first three series, anything after that is only building on those classic episodes

The books are fantastic too. I've read all of them, and I'd have to pick Backwards as the best

bear in mind that when they did go back in series seven they changed the timeline so starbug never existed, there was a nuclear base or someting too near to the town and everyone fled. If they DID go back they would probably screw up time so Lister never actually joined up with Red Dwarf, never ctually found the time drive and diod all his adventure and stuff

Ok, still, it does ruin the entire premise. Who not just go hokme... and stay there? (Admittedly that would kill off the entire series), but why do the crew change their minds?

actually, that was supposed to be the same time drive from the last episode of series six, but it was never explained why it could suddenly be used as a time drive

Series six:
*Time drive used so the crew are in the year 1421*
Rimmer: so we're still 3 million years in deep space
Kryten: Yes sir, but now we're 3 million years in deep space in the fifteenth century. Isn't it wonderful?

Series seven:
*after they refound the time drive, no explination of it*
Lister: Okay we want the taj mahal restaurant in london 1999

There was no explination about how the time drive could now be used as a hyperspace drive aswell

I don't remember them ever getting a hyperspace drive in series 7. From what I recall, they just changed the time drive so that it would take them any place in time. Yet another breaking of continuity in that series.

The big series 7 plot hole....

Yes, Kochanski was changed a bit (although personally, I prefer Chloe Annette to Clare Grogan for.. reasons that are purple professional that I can't think of right now and NOT because she is better looking ). But that's not it.

Also Kochanski's purpose was to appeal to American audiences, having some eye candy. (Hey, their words, not mine). No one can replace Rimmer and Holly which is why they came back for series 8.

Spoiler:
Well the entire premise of the show was for Lister to get home. There he could settle down with Kochanski (somehow) and live a peaceful life on Fiji. He says many times during the previous 6 seasons that he is homesick, not to mention the fact that he's LOVESICK too. AT the start of Series seven, the crew fix the time drive and get a hyperspace drive, meaning that they can go anywhere at any time. This means Lister can get home, and stay there, especially since they meet Kochanski too but they don't bother, he still drifts in space, having advantures. They actually DO pop back to earth, but only to get a Curry. (Mind you tht's my fave episode of the entire season, that and the "Ace Rimmer" one.)

Hey I liked it that they got another crew member. Someone had to replace Holly and Rimmer didn't they?

Stop fighting about being the series' 'biggest fan' we all love the show and that's what matters.

What plot hole? The only thing I can think of is how they changed Kochanski to being an ex-girlfriend of Listers, even though he spent the majority of the earlier series saying how they never got together. Bringing Kochanski back, was dumb to say the least.

I am the best Red Dwarf Fan. I can say every line from an episode, I have them memorized. Is that sad or what? Anway. About this film. Last Year it was going to be filmed but Rimmer had to play Lara Crofts Butler, in her new movie.

Thats just FYI.

It was on PBS sometimes when I was a little kid. I never knew when it was on, so it was like some kind of magical treat when I actually came across an episode . I remember absolutely loving this show. I definitely gotta get it on DVD one of these days, relive some of my childhood. I'm sure it'll be much funnier this time around, too .

Quote from series 5:
Spoiler:
Rimmer - Mr. Flibble's very cross... you shouldn't have run away from him. What are we going to do with them Mr. Flibble? *He holds Mr. Flibbles to his ear as if it is whispering to him. He then gasps* We can't POSSIBLY do that... who would clear up the mess?

I'm a die-hard dwarfer, although we are a bit rare on this mb, there are only a few of us.

Mr Flibble would be very cross indeed.
