lol. i usually have layouts off so i missed his retarded signature. These lame people really crack me up . They're like the anti-conformist renegade "i'm-so-different-and-hardcore" angsty teenager from middle/high school of the Internet and web developement.
don't support firefox: because you're going-against-the-grain attitude and your linkin park make you hardc0re |

Judging from his sig "I do not support W3C" -- I think it's safe to say he doesn't know what proper HTML is -- or he doesn't know what W3C is. In either case, his beef with firefox is misplaced. |

What?
What doesn't it display properly? Are you sure your html isn't screwed? Example code of what messes up? |

If you really want to go up a bit in speed, you can try this page full of Mozilla aplication enhancements. I'm told it works quite well, but I haven't tried it out yet myself. |

I'm sure this has been discussed in Hardware Software before, but this thread should really go into that forum, not this one. It's not really programming.... |

Got this from a friend but here...
1.Type "about:config" into the address bar and hit return. Scroll down and look for the following entries:
network.http.pipelining network.http.proxy.pipelining network.http.pipelining.maxrequests
Normally the browser will make one request to a web page at a time. When you enable pipelining it will make several at once, which really speeds up page loading.
2. Alter the entries as follows:
Set "network.http.pipelining" to "true"
Set "network.http.proxy.pipelining" to "true"
Set "network.http.pipelining.maxrequests" to some number like 30. This means it will make 30 requests at once.
3. Lastly right-click anywhere and select New-> Integer. Name it "nglayout.initialpaint.delay" and set its value to "0". This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it receives.
On a broadband connection This will load MUCH faster!! |
