hey man, thnx, i'll fix the cement blocks, i haven't noticed this in my blocks (Aioria gets ashamed for missing this *_*).

HH, I'll add the blue smb3 to that exgfx set to see how it looks instead of the cement blocks, then i'll post a screenie

I love these screens I really do! One thing bothered me though... I noticed you squared off the stone blocks, and I did this the other day for my new hack (i have like 5 hacks going at once lol) and I think it looks pretty good. Heres a pic.


I think the stones in your hack would look alot neater if they looked like this, because you gave the bottom right part more black.

you mean that screen with the P-switch, right? It uses the normal SMW cement blocks, do i change them for the blue smb3 bricks then? Or the grey SMB3 bricks?

Triggers a secondary exit, of course.

Looks awesome, except the one made entirely of cement bricks. If you can't improve the design, try replacing them with SMB3's blue bricks, they look much better.

If he is talking about the cave with the leaf ground, I would make it go down like 8 pixles and make mario appear behind the top part. Just like in YI with the grassy ground. So there are 8 pixels infront of mario. That would look alot better IMO, because currently it looks like mario is floating on the leaves

@ChessePie: Should i make the platform go "more down" or "higher", to make the 3D effect better?

Ooh, I'm tingling with excitement. It looks kind of weird when Mario stands on that platform in the cave shot. You might want to address that.

Excellent work Aioria!

The GFX in this hack still amaze me just as much as they did when i couln't rip!
I like the happy faces on everything, feels a bit like Sunny Side World!

A suggestion though: i think my SMB3 mario could fit in a bit better here, maybe you should try it out: http://www.freewebs.com/peter_ac/m3gfx.zip

the status bar problems will be solved, although i'm afraid it's gonna be hard to fix it in the Nipper Plants levels coz they have A LOT of pallete changes.
the yellow blocks will be remade too i agree that these ones' palletes suck, now that i look at them again

That is exactly where they are from (but the name is The Magical Quest Starring Mickey Mouse, but I am picky). I used to play that game a lot a few years ago and I could not forget any tileset from that game. Plus that fire level was my favorite...

The screens look... ok, but I would like to see some clashes gone (come on, SMB Goombas in a SMW2 tileset?). Once that is solved, it could be better... maybe...

I have a suggestion. In the Sunny Side hack, Marios palettes were much darker so he could fit in with really brightly colored levels better, I would darken Marios palette and see if that helps him fit in better.
