I'd like to know if anyone has used this QtParted program to create/edit/remove Linux partitions with ext3 and Linux swap partitions. Partition magic I know can. How about it? |

Be careful about giving the QtParted author too much credit, though. As it relies on external libraries for all its functions. The thing that makes it good is the GUI; the external commands are done on the command line and most Windows users don't like that
Yeah... use QtParted to make your partitions as you wish. |

I would rather use System resuce CD, but that's just me. I don't know which of them who have the latest Qtparted version.
Qtparted is very simple to use, it's GUI is self-explonatary and it usually does resizing safely. Well, it was succeful on my FAT partition...
Systemrescue CD is simple, just boot it up and then type "run_qtparted". Then it's selfexplonatary from there.
You can always start up Qtparted and check around, the changes dosen't happen until you click on the "commit" button (forgot if it was commit, but it had a diskette).

Okay, so I've decided to repartition my new hard drive, I want to be able to run Linux and Windows again without being forced to use Knoppix from the CD. Does anyone have the how-to on partitioning an HD? It's been a while, though I think I can handle Knoppix installation as opposed to my old GNOME system, unless there's something I need to know there. |
