Very nice screens, especially the subspace ones, they look great. There are a lot of things you have to compensate in your hack for SMB2 that aren't available in SMW without heavy ASM hacking, but I just hope you're able to get in as much similarities as possible. |

No, i don't know how i could do that.
I'm not sure if i'll make this a perfect remake, with all of SMB2's functions, or if i'll just make it a normal Mario game, with all of SMB2's levels and GFX, in which case i'd use SMB3 GFX for powerups and such. Maybe i'll make a poll about it. |

No, i've sent a few of my friends a demo of SMB3, but that's it. i'm not going to publically release any demos.
And yeah i'll talk to blackhole89 about that.
I'll really have to learn ASM soon!! I tried but the tutorial says i need to learn 6508 first. |

HDMA doesn't have much to do with transparency, actually. If you can make sure that your door never overlaps the status bar on screen, you can place the transparent part of the door on layer 3 and make everything below the status bar follow BG1 and use additive blending with some minor asm hacking. |

These look awesome! One question tho....How will you make the bosses? That would require MAJOR ASM to achieve.
And for your door problem, couldn't you fix it using HDMA? I know that Blackhole89 knows HDMA (he made an awesome little edit that made names show up at the bottom of the screen in a semi-transparent blue box), so maby you could ask him, or google search HDMA, and find out how to make a transparent back area for the door. Doesn't SMB2 do something like that? I know that the door and the "light" are on different layers.

I've already thought about the throwing blocks for the grass though. maybe something to do with a block that opens with a spin jump....

You may have already thought of this but, you could make the cherrys act like the yoshi coins.
Maybe it would be posible to have the grass act like the blocks from the big boo battles, ya know the blue blocks, you could have it change graphics when you pick it up.
The only problem with doing that is figureing out how to make make the bush to where you can walk through it. |

For the desert world in your SMB2 hack, I have some gfx in SMW1.5 with a desert BG from SMB2 that you can use when you get to making the desert world |
