Okay! Downloaded.
When BMF closed his thread on SMW: Odessey (due to constant spamming), he said that he hadn't made any progress on it since he released the demo, and that he might never finish it. *Cries*
**EDIT** Okay, I appear to be stuck in Star Road. I'm pretty sure I've found every exit up to where I'm at, and I entered Star Road through the Crystal Caves.
I had abit of trouble in Water Star World, but only just got it. (Thank god for save states!) And I've found both exists in all the other Star Road levels, but I can't find the 2nd exits in Misty Star World, and Secret Star World.
That Secret Star World is such a pain in the ass! I kinda figured that I needed an enemy in my secondary item slot, but I can't get back out to the world map to go to one of the first 2 Secret Mushroom stages. Is there an enemy in the Secret Star World that I don't know about? I couldn't even find the keyhole in that stage!
And in the Misty Star World stage, I can't find either the key or the keyhole. I'm stuck!!
Is there a walkthrough somewhere? Or even better; could someone help me out on just these 2 stages?

Sorry about the typo in the thread title.
Not a problem. *fixes*
Well, I have tried downloading Demo World before from the collection thread in the Super Mario World Hacking forum, but the link was dead.
Oh... hmm. *fixes that too*
The best SMW hack in my opinion (which I've played) has been BMF's Super Mario World Odessey... Man that was awesome!
Yes, BMF is very talented at this. ^^ Hopefully he'll feel like finishing it someday.

You can't get stuck in Star World by doing the exits out of order. Unless by "stuck" you meant not being able to get all the exits in the game to have a nice shiny *120 on the title screen, or perhaps getting into the optional Boo's world.

Well you can say something is good despite the bugs, but if it has a lot of bugs then it's still not very good. If you ignore the bugs, Windows 95 and NO$GMB are two incredibly good, stable programs. Does that mean they really are? Hell no. |

Originally posted by Glyph Phoenix Hey, Demo World had some major flaws. Tricks like its appearing/dissapearing blocks and teleportation are commonplace now, and if you don't find one exit before another in star world you're stuck. Levels like Bowser's Castle were just too damn long and didn't really have any innovation to it. Some levels were lifted directly from SMB3. Demo World may have been a good hack, even an excellent hack, but I certainly don't think that it's required material for anyone looking for a good hack.

Skie, you have to expand the rom before you patch it, use Lunar Expander. |

Reply from Komiko ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Depends on what you've played specifically in hacks.
And whether you're over SMB3/SMW or not, if you haven't played Super Demo World - The Legend Continues and beaten it all the way through then you are not a g4m3r.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Yeah, that's right. That's an awesome hack. But, every time I attach the IPS Patch to a SMW rom, the game doesn't work. Where can I find a version that works? |

Secret of Mana has a hack that fixes the text to be more understandable. You could try downloading that. It's at Zophars domain. |
