Learning a high-level programming language is a good place to start. It won't teach you how to hack, but it will give you some invaluable knowledge that can be applied to hacking. Personally, I suggest the C language. Next, you can learn some of the ideas behind cheat hacking (GameShark, etc). This can give you some insight into how certain games actually work, internally. For this, I can recommend a very large (though very out-dated) document on this specific subject: http://www.gscentral.com/view.pl?HackingText/hackv500c. Beware that a lot of the info is incorrect, so don't take it all for granted. It's just another starting point. (Still plenty more to learn.) |

The characters sereiously bug out if you try to play them with a code. I think it won't even allow you to move or attack while you control them. So your gonna have to do some extra things to make it work properly. |

It can e done with a hex editor, you have to find the locations where the date is stored to make the fighters playable. Or use ASM to enable them. |

I'm better at playing these modified games then actually modifying them
Can an Ips patch enable the unplayable fighters in Mk1 and Mk2 to be playable?
The PAR codes are not working, the game just crashes after I try to do anything with them Can it be done?
thanks in advance |
