Those screen shots are the W0W! I am dying to play this hack. To me this is way better than Mario Adventure. Keep up the good work!

Those recent screens look really shweet! Awsome work as always, very original. A spuprise maybe?...hmmm...my guess is a secret world if you can beat all eight worlds.

I just implemented a new Hub World that's similiar to Mario Adventure's except for a very distinct difference:

This hub works in that you start out with access to World 1. After completing it, paths will open up leading to 2 other worlds. Completing another world will open up other paths and so on. So essentially you can "complete" the game through only 5 worlds, but maybe there's a surprise for opening up all the paths?




Edit: Oh and notice, World 1 is now labeled with the rest of the worlds. Good ole sprite allocation expansion!

Well, thoose bushes looks rather tropical to me. But that's maybe what your planning for the hills level.

...I still hope you didn't remove that red coin collecting desert level that was my favorite.

most of these ideas CAN be done, but not implemented in my curent hack because I've used the available space that would be use to create a lot of these neat ideas... However 2 stood out that I might actually use.

Ringodoggy's idea for Stone Luigi MIGHT be implementable, I forget if I overwrote the statue power or not, if I didn't then I'll implement an item that turns Luigi into stone for a level...

And Rockman's insta-item emergency usage idea. I would like to expand on that and make it so you can choose which item would would activate when you became small, but I'll definitely do atleast the mushroom.

What's so impossible about them? Making sprites home in on eachother is just a matter of comparing their locations and adjusting. A giant shoe could just use the same code as the normal shoe but make it think there were several of them, and have a bigger sprite. Auto-Mushroom would be ridiculously easy; add about 5 lines of code to the enemy collision code. Potion bottle might be difficult but certainly possible.

Oh hell yeah I'm good. and while you're at it, add time travel and super mario when he collects 50 rings. Don't forget the DDR arrows and swastika's. OH! AND ADD SUPER SAIYAN MODE! =D [this is what all your suggestions sound like to him. but keep them coming because they entertain me.]

I agree with Skiffles about the POW Block.

Also, if you are not using the item reserve, add an item called the "Auto-Mushroom"

Basically, you can only equip the Auto-Mushroom on the map, and whenever Mario is about to become small by an enemy, the Auto-mushroom makes Mario big.

Also, a Potion bottle, like in SMB2.

If Mario uses the Potion in a level, it creates a doorway (the typical SMB3 black door you can go through), and it leads to a bonus area where you can collect coins, 1-ups, and a maybe a few other misc. things.

Um. Why not a POW block? SMB2 makes everything better. but so does castlevania so make a axe-luigi :'(

A HUGE shoe powerup. Like the small green shoe before it, this one would be comparable to the huge enemies in size. Big ol' green shoe, with a tiny little mario head sticking out. Stomp 3 or 4 enemies at once.

Wow, this really looks great! Heh, I like ninjis. And I agree the super glue/winter shoes idea is pretty good, maybe put that in?
