They need to do a direct port to the DS. Bugs and all.

They did to Diddy Kong Racing for the GBA, but with Banjo.

It really really sucks, apparently.

There can be banjo racing... basically that what they did with a DK airplane game. They just changed it to Banjo racing when they lost the rights...

And it stops to look impressing that game with the PSP, DS and all. Rare delays way too much. xD

Too bad they can't with Diddy Kong Racing.

They have no rights to the Donkey Kong franchise.

That is unless you meant pulling off a similar styled game, or for the GBA.

...Rare reminds me of Westwood, EA and Petroglyph.

EA bought Westwood, closed it down. Many people who are employed at Westwood didn't goto EA pacific but started their own project and EA releases a CnC that get's highly critized while Petroglyph is making a highly antipicitaed game.

And well, I saw a very bad review for that Donkey kong game. Thought he also pointed out that Donkey Kong isn't a good platformer from the start, somehow I can agree as I never could like the Donkey Kong country games. And yes I played them for hours. :/

I know, I have no idea what's happened to Rare. Although apparently a good bunch of them, people who worked on GoldenEye and stuff, moved to Free Radical, hence the Timesplitters series.

Meanwhile whatever's left of Rare seem to be running around like headless chickens. Their remakes of the DKC series for the GBA are terrible hashes of the original, too. And despite what you may here elsewere, yes, they DID do them themselves (they said so in Scribes), Nintendo just published them, so it's not Nintendo's fault for their crappiness.

Yep.

Nintendo may have lost Rare.

But, then they obtained Retrogames.

Rare's "supposedly" been working on Kameo ... for like, 4 years or something.

Screw that game, I want PD2.

Perfect dark 2 is so bundled with the Next-Box version of Duke Nukem forever. Right?

Honestly, Rare hadn't done anything... eye-catching since Perfect dark. The last game I played from them was Starfox Adventures and that was just... uhh. Nice graphics, nice sound but gameplay was rentworthy...

I can realise why Nintendo sold off Rare, thought it's not like Rare makes big losses for Microsoft. Then Microsoft are starting to lose... shares in other areas that have nothing to do with Video-games...

Well, either Rare's delayed Perfect Dark 2 forever or it's never coming out. :\ It's going to approach Duke Nukem Forever levels soon.

I think Rare is run by two people these days; one concept artist who's obsessed with big googly eyes and whoever runs the website who also attempts to make games in his free time.

Yeah, so far all of the systems seem great, but I think the line-up of games that are going to release are really going to determine who sells the most.

There have been rumors in the past couple of months that Perfect Dark 2 (Maybe After Dark) could be a release title for the Xbox 2. (Xbox 360, whatever).

Either that's a complete lie, or Microsoft and Rare are keeping this game a secret. But, I seriously doupt it would make it's first set release date, when has Rare been able to pull that off? Yeah right.

I haven't seen any conference videos around but you wouldn't get much new out of them - transcripts/summaries are the way to go.

Well, there was a few videos released with the conference (Zelda trailer) but... you mean the conference itself?

Everything's probably coming out 2006 unless someone pulls a huge swerve out of their hats at E3. When in 2006 is the question - all three would love to be the first ones out of the gate but at the same time you don't want to rush things.

I would assume that they will release it 2006... they would prefer to release it AFTER the next Zelda title. Get one last great game in before a great new system...
