Generally when you get a BSOD you can look up the error code at MSDN or microsoft.com. Just search for something like "stop 0x0000008E" and look around. |

Having more than one megabyte of RAM might help...
but according to MSDN, it's caused by either faulty or incompatible RAM chips (with WinXP). |

Suddenly I got one or two blue screens a day and I don't know what it causes. I tested my RAM and Video Card, but they're fine. It gave me something like this: ***STOP: 0x0000008E (0xC0000005, 0xBF89DCF5, 0xF732DABC, 0x00000000)
***win32k.sys - Address BF89DCF5 base at BF800000, DataStamp 411033af
What the hell causes the blue screen or the sudden restarts of my computer? BTW: I got 1024MB RAM and an ATI Radeon 9600Pro 128MB.
Any help whould be nice, cause I want to repair this fucking comp.
Thanx in advance.
Edit: I meant MB not KB |
