Yes, I am saving just a page and loading just a page and am on the page that I want to load, But the thing is...

The normal ground graphics are stored on page 2 of the 16x16 title editor. When I import new graphics they overwrite page 2. The map16 data then rearranges page 2 so the graphics are correct. When I save the map16 data to the rom, it saves the page 2 rearranged data. So now page 2 is rearranged throughout the entire game.

Not cool...

There has to be a way to do this, other people do it all the time...

Are you sure you're on the page you want the Map16 data to load to before you actually load it?

I ran through all of the F keys mutiple times.

F1 = Nothing
F2 = OMG.... ok, I just figured out what button saves a page of Map16 data.
F3 = Load a page of Map16 Data
F4 = Run Emulator
...etc

I figured out what is going wrong, but I don't know how to fix it. There are two pages in the 16x16 title editor. Page 1 (0x0) has some misc stuff. Page 2 (0x1) has mostly ground and question blocks. When I import the ExGFX they override the levels page 2. I then import the Map16 data which adjusts page 2. When the Map16 data is saved back into the rom, it adjusts the page 2 of every level.

Personally, I don't worry about overwriting the original data, because I don't use it and all. However, I am fairly certain that you can import and export a single page of Map16 data. Try all the F keys, using a throwaway copy of your rom, of course, in case you change something you don't want to.

I know it's possible, people do it all the times in there rom hacks, I just can't figure out how to get the Map16data to apply to only one level of the rom.

When I import the ExGFX I want it to only be in one level, but when I save the Map16data to the rom, overrides everything from all levels.

So if anybody can help me with this, please post a reply

Hmm, maybe you can't. Maybe I just made that up. I wish I wasn't at work right now, so I could actually TEST the advice I give out. Someone else who has used a lot of ExGFX help him out.

Thanks for the help, but I cant figure out how to export just one page of the Map16 data. I've been searching all through the help file in lunar magic and I cant find the hotkey that you said would save just one page of Map16.

If anybody knows how to save just one page of Map16 data please post, thank you.

The reason is that some of our esteemed colleagues sent in the ENTIRE Map16 data instead of a single page. It's not hard to fix, just follow these simple steps:

1. Make a copy of your ROM
2. Load the included Map16 data (whether it be the entire data or just a page)
3. Export the page you want, making sure it's just that page.
4. Voila! Instant fix.

EDIT: You may not know the hotkeys for some of these steps (heck if I remember them off the top of my head), just check the help file under Map16.

Hey, I'm having a problem with ExGraphics...

I went to the ExGFX workshop site and downloaded differnet graphic sets. I followed the instructions and the graphics important into lunar magic with no problems and I can use the new graphics.

The problem is that after I hit F3 and put the new grpahics map in, if I dont hit F9 and save it to the rom then the graphics revert back to orignal graphics from the game. If I hit F9 and save the map into the rom, the new graphics work, but the origrnal gmae graphics in other levels and everywhere in the game revert to the new graphics set in arent right (like the ground will be made of parts of question boxs or such).

I was under the impression that you could change the graphics set used in only one level.

Thanks for the help.
