no, it's not going to be on it's own channel--it's still going to share airtime with the rest of CN--it's just that the people who does TV ratings are going to keep it seperate from the rest of CN |

Yeah, Adult Swim eventually having it's own individual channel would be pretty interesting.
For the viewer, this probably won't be so big of a deal. |

Probably the majority of the adult audience will head south with the move, with a few exceptions depending on individual interests (mostly around Toonami on Saturdays). |

What I get out of the announcement is that this is mainly for rating purposes. I can see why they'd make the move.
The WWF (before they became WWE) did the exact same thing on Monday nights - they split their wrestling program into two different "shows" - Raw and Warzone. One continuous show but two different ones as far as the Nielsens went.  |

For now it's not going to look to different, by reading it it sounds like it'll be a network split but it will be carried by the same cable channel. Just at different times of the day.
Now whether or not this means there's going to be a point and some point in time where Adult Swim branches off into it's own channel...I wouldn't know. |
