No wavelength of light that we know of. Perhaps it's made of magic. Same with the wave beam thing.

No, but there is no wavelength of light that can cool things down. Nor is there any energy wavelength that can pass through most anything with ease (excluding gamma radiation).

Well the ice beam and the wave beam do sound impossible at first. But then again, so does using radio waves to heat up your food. Anywho, this thoery is just my way of coping on how Nintendo retooled a classic. That's all.

Brains don't have eyes anyway. Obviously we're dealing with a rather different organism. Your theory is way too convoluted anyway. They have no reason to turn around and go "JUST KIDDING THAT WAS UM A CLONE YEAH". That only happens in bad movies and comics when they need a plot twist. =p

EDIT: also that would be poor biology, not poor physics. Poor physics is when you have an ICE BEAM. Or a "wave beam" made of "pure energy" that "passes through walls."

HOLY SHIT METROID HAS BAD PHYSICS =o =o =o

P.S. Special request: HOT HAT

My theory about Metroid Fusion is that the person you played wasn't Samus at all. She was a highly advanced clone of Samus made from her's, parasite X's and metroid DNA, being tested at the expence of the BSL lab and its employees.

I also theorize that Zero Mission never happened. It was a (poorly) consturcted memory made for the Samus clone. Made from mission reports of the two Zebes missions. I theorize this because of these conflicting elements:
1: Superficial texture changes of the terrain.
2: The ship belongs to the space pirates, in Super Metroid, it belonged to an unknown factor and was of differant design. Plus events in Zero Mission contradicts its existence in Super Metroid.
3: There was no fake Kraig in Zero Mission.
4: MISSILES DO NOT HAVE TO HIT A BRAIN IN THE OPEN EYE TO HURT IT, that's just poor physics right there.

Yeah, Fyxe, you should know that the spoiler text, um, doesn't quite go completely black in your layout.

Bah, it's still unreadable.

Ah, that does remind me of a question I had about the Metroid plotline, and Samus' appearance in particular. It says in Fusion her appearance was "drastically altered", yet when I get my ass kicked she still busts out of the suit and looks human.

What was all that stuff about having to have her suit surgically removed? I'd expect her to have some kind of horrible deformity, but no, we've still got the blonde girl with the tight clothes. Was the drastic alteration to her appearance in suit only?
Yes. The suit has at least three distinct layers. The yellow/red armor (infected and removed), a blue spandexy layer, and the tight clothes. The head part has only an armored helmet.

The change from full armor to only blue layer is quite drastic indeed.

Grr.

I do apologise. I have no idea why that happens. O.o''

Grey, you forget that the suit is PART of her, so if her suit is drastically alterted, then you might as well say she is drastically altered. So it was just talking about the suit. Parts of the suit were removed, that's all.

I hope it's only her suit or else that will just get weird. Though, never underestimate the Japanese appetite for weirdness.

EDIT: Removed the layout from that particular post. Luckily I don't seem to have wrecked anything in the process.

Where is Hunters supposed to fit in the timeline?

If anyone possibly knows ... probably too early to tell I guess.

Spoiler:
Actually, all Samus technically gets at the end of the game is the Ice Beam, which in turn changes her suit (so she can survive the effects of the Ice Beam), so she takes the ability from the SA-X but doesn't actually get the SA-X's suit.

Anyway, Fusion is indeed the last game in the series so far.

I will not be satisfied until Samus goes insane and her new Metroid instincts cause her to feed upon the life of the galaxy. She will be the unstoppable!

I was thinking the same thing. I remember early on for Fusion they were going to do something with running up walls, maybe they could implement that this time.

If they decide to make more 2D Metroids. Which I'm still worried they might not do. =(
