It's not a matter of importance, it's a matter of what it's related to. Dynamic sigs may be crazy, but you seem to be looking for software in this case. 
As far as finding one, just check other peoples' sigs, they usually tell (or link to) where they come from. I think there was one called SigX that was rather popular. |

If you're talking about the sort of thing I've got in my signature, go to this site, set up an account, then cut and paste the code it gives you after you finish everything up into your signature in the Edit Layout page. Note that with that, the updates aren't instantaneous, unless you choose to pay for a better version. Right now, I have a two minute wait time between updates, which works pretty well 
Hopefully that's what you're looking for, but if it's not, as Yomiko said, searching in google would definitely be a good idea  |

Uhm...there are plenty of them, you'd just to Google for it or check the plugins in Winamp.
