All host you'll find will probably give you more than 50mb.
And if you go for a domain name (and choose hosting from a big compagny), buy a separate domain (I heard those are a bitch to get back if you swicth hosting). |

www.freepgs.com youhave to pay like 3 dollars fo an account...but the benefits are good...i got one for perl, php and mysql for 6 bucks....like 150mb of space too. |

A lot of cash- and ad-free hosts don't last long. I remember one shitty one where I stored all my shitty sprite comics, passion4art. A lot of my old posts link there. Luckily it died and took my shit along with it.
Anyway, what I'm saying is the same might happen to funpics or whatever. It's best to go with someone you know, when possible. |

Usually you can get rid of the ads with some simple scripting or CSS. They might close the account if they find out, but they rarely do.  |

Wade through http://www.free-webhosts.com/. There's a lot of crap ones (including ones that sound nice on the surface), but it's better than nothing. |
