I'm disapointed this program stopped short of SMAS support. It's a pretty awesome program. I hope if someone picks it back up they can add support for that game.

Okay, I'll release the sources for anyone to use. I just need to add a bit of documentation first, so it'll take a little while. I also guess I should make a list of all known current bugs so that someone can fix them :oP

Thanks for the nice comments about my editor, all. I still want to continue work on it sometime in the future, but right now I just can't gather up enough interest.

DD's part was very important in the development of the editor - I don't think SMB3WS would exist without him providing me with a lot of important data on SMB3.

Hukka, why not release the source code for anyone to use?

Well, whatever the case is hukka, just wanted to let you know that its a pretty good editor, and congratulations on the work you have done.

Well my part was too small, I just provided data. But if someone picks up on it, I'll continue to provide that person with data needed.

But as Dan said: the editor is 100% fully functional. Everything needed to do a great hack is in that editor. It has very few bugs in it and it doesn't really hurt the editor's functionality nor does it corrupt rom data. The main think I think hukka was working on last was just making the editor more compatible with over hacked roms by reading the level object tile definitions. However, this isn't a big deal since very few of us actually hack SMB3 to that extent that level object tile definitions are changed and those who do can just deal with it

Well said Dan, Hopefully the bugs can be fixed in the future. Trust me Kasper after using this editor I won't go back to MI3 or SMB3D. Thanks Hukka and DahrkDaiz for getting together to make this awsome editor.

Um, last I heard SMB3W was perfectly functional. Just because the author doesn't update his program anymore, doesn't mean to stop using it.

Oh man, & I was really waiting for an update to this awsome editor. I hope that someone can pick up where you left off then. I guess it is back to SMB3D & M3I, even if those editor are out of date.

Hi. I haven't really done anything with SMB3WS since the last public release. I don't think I will work on it in the near future either. This is why I've decided to offer to release the Delphi 7 source code if someone's interested in developing the program further or at least fixing some of the bugs in it. I don't think I'm saying that I'm giving up on the development altogether, but I don't really have any inspiration to work on it anytime soon either.

So would anyone skilled in Delphi programming be interested to work on the program at least for a while?
