In Wind Waker, she's actually a cross between the old crab Gohma and a Moldorm (she's a giant Magtail, and 'Tail' is the Japanese name for Moldorms, Magtails are basically lava-based Moldorms).
Is the technical definiton of 'arachnid' having eight legs? Not sure about that.
1) I wouldn't know about Gohma attacking om OoT, since I can't remember a time that she got close enough to do so
2) I've already covered her lack of claws in LoZ and FSA.

Arachnids always have 8 legs. As well as two primary body segments, with an auxillary.
Gohma might as well be a crustacean for all it is worth. |

... Ok.
Does it really matter? Gohma or not, it looks cool.
Well, about the trailer ... I liked it a lot, and have watched it probably too many times.
I'm really looking forward to this game, and the music seemed great in the trailer, I'm hoping we get that kind of stuff in the game, and PLEASE give us the real Overwold theme this time. (I forgot if WW did, didn't enjoy that game very much).
It would also be pretty sweet to see the return of Dark Link, but yeah, we can dream.
This game will put Prime up for a fight for the best GC game in my opinion. |

Originally posted by Fyxe Trapster, you fool, I said that because in ALL other games, Gohma has had claws. Actually, Gohma was only an arachnid (spider) in OoT, she was a crab in other games.
Umm... No?
Legend of Zelda: No claws. Sorry.
Ocarina of Time: Claws, at least in the official art. But they're tiny. A little hard to tell in the game if they're there becaus it's rather dark during that fight. And all things considered, despite her classification as Parasitic Armored Arachnid... she's only got two legs. Not a spider.
Oracle of Season: Yep, claws. Big ones.
Wind Waker: It's got claws... But it's not really a crab or spider. More like a scorpion-like thing.
Four Swords Adventures: No claws. Larger versions of the original, basically. |

Im really glad that itll come out at the end of this year, I just hope it wont end up as one of those awesome games with awesome graphic that you can blow through in a couple of hours. I wanna have a good long adventure. WW length was perfect in my opinion, especially becuase there was so many cool things to do after you beat the game.

Ailure, that is nearly a YEAR away. Q4 2005, pretty much. If it runs over the alloted time, then poo poo on them. They miss the Christmas rush. The game is probably in the final stretches of completion, with the details being hammered out and the playability being tested. I'm guessing we'll hear about this Golding up at around Rememberance day. |

And they're going to release it in the end of this year?
I think it should be pretty much finished, maybe expect from some fine-tuning.
I'm actually starting to wonder where in the storyline this fits, would be nice after TWW but... yeah. |

Forgot to say this last post ... How many undead were in the first "Zelda '05" trailer, hm? Oh, that's right. Zero. |

I still want to see some more non-battle shots, and I want to be able to see Ganon and Zelda somewhere.
Same here, man. :\ I really want to know what this story will be about... I mean, all we really know is that it takes place after TWW, whereas when TWW was going to come out, we knew where it was going to take place, and how it related to OoT. |

Personally I counted the Stalfos as one 'scene' despite appearing twice, as it appears to be the same section.
I don't think scenes of Stalfos proves anything anyway, since they're a well established Zelda foe.
Besides, in the original OoT trailers, Link was shown fighting Stalfos almost exclusively, and many early shots concentrated on foes like Stalfos and Poes. That didn't mean OoT concentrated primarily on the undead.
There is a possiblity there may be slightly more undead than usual in this game but that's more down to the game clearly focusing on a darker atmosphere.
Remember, it could simply be that an early section of the game involves many skeletal enemies in the forest graveyard, and that's what we're seeing. That would account for two thirds of the undead content of that trailer, simply because it occurs early in the adventure. In fact, all those skeletal foes seem to be in one particular area.

Actually, I'm not sure how 'new' this trailer is. Around the release of the first trailer, I heard from some places (some official places, not just random rumours) that there was a second trailer that was not released for public viewing at all (but some press got to see it). Maybe this is simply it. The game could be more advanced from this than we think.
EDIT: Scratch that last bit, the 'second trailer' was actually an extended version of the original trailer, my bad. Showed more shots (some of which we saw screenshots of but were never in the first trailer we saw, like some dungeon shots for example) but almost certainly not this much more. |

Fixed.
Boo-freaking-hoo. It's a freaking crab/spider, and there are multiple of them. I'm sure some of them are male.

There are three scenes with the undead, but even in WW you could find that. The ghost ship, Stalfos, ReDeads and more. MM had a whole section full of ghosts and the undead, the Ikana region.
I'm counting four scenes with undead.

There are, infact, four undead scenes. One skeletal quadraped scene, two Stalfos scenes, one "ghosts" scene. |

I don't really see how you'd come by that conclusion. There was nothing even resembling the undead in the first trailer, and in this new one, there's only a couple scenes of Stalfos and bone-like animals (all set in a graveyard) and one shot of some ghosts in something of a sewer (which could very well be inside one of the graves, all considered).
There're quite a few scenes with undead, like the undead dog-like things, the graveyard, the part where Link rides a boar, and yeah, the sewer. |

Those aren't normal bats. Huge, with big red eyes. They're Bad Bats. They're not normal bats. O.o''
What makes you think it's smaller than a Wolfos? How can you tell how big it is?
There was no real plot until around when they defined the name 'Ocarina of Time'. |

There is normal bats too, they appear in Majoras mask.
...and personally, I think that's a wolf. It could be a wolfos but it's... smaller than the wolfos I saw in the past games.
I think they changed the plot severeal times during the OOT devolopment. Or it was NOA that was just speculating the plot... like there wasn't a link kid until quite later. |
