I wouldn't buy it, since there are already so many free (though illegal ) ones for the PC, where you can distribute them, making those ones a lot better than the ones on the PS2.

Yes, of course, you can just use one of the tools made for computer. However, RPG Maker 2 allows you to make RPGs in 3D easily, and even though I like RPGs in 2D better, it would be fun to be able to make a quick RPG in 3D and have people play it.

I could try and make one with one of the current tools, or I could program it from scratch. However, since I'm not really that interested in making an RPG in 3D, I don't really feel like spending alot of time making one.

There are plenty of RPG creating programs on the 'net. Use one of them.

A PC version would be really nice. At least you could distrubute it to people.

And a PC version would be a hella lot easier to use. Compare PSX's RPG Maker to any RPGMK for PC, keyboard and mouse make editing much more fun.

Not really worth buying. Free all the way! You would probably see copies of it in Kazaa if it comes to pc.

Yeah well, I learned the hard way about this game. I thought it was going to be semi-easy to navigate the menus and stuff. But I got sick and tired of it after the first couple of days of messing around with it. I should have rented it first -- but my excitement for it at the time overcame me.

Try it out first if you can ... you probably want to know if the event and other command can be handled as good as in RM2k/RM2k3; if only the graphics are nice but the editor itself sucks, I won't buy it

Nah, I think its a waste myself. like JA said you cant really make copies for your friends. I'll just wait around for RPGMaker XP...

I was thinking about buying it, but then I thought, whats the point, the only people who will be able to play it is people I know, and my family...so it depends...personally I dont think im gonna buy it.

Unless you can get a good price on it, I don't think it's really worth buying. It does allow you to make games in 3D, which is a good thing about it. However, you can't really give copies of your RPGs to people, which is what I don't like RPG Maker 2.

You should just rent it first, and see if you like it or not.
