*Coughfinalfantasycough* Just, giving an example.

Yeah, overworld palettes are a pain to work with... 0-3 always come out extremely messed up, and... well... not how you would want them.

The colors in Lunar Magic will only change for special world if you set the option to display them to. Theres a thing to check somewhere in the View menu....

It all has to do with Bowser...

i found that if you use colours 8 to F on the overworld, those colours will use colours 8 to F on the palette of the last level you were in.

e.g. if you use colour 6,9 on a rock on the OW and you set 6,9 to brown, and in a certain level, colour 6,9 is blue, then enter that level, come back out of the level, and the rock on the OW will be blue.

does that help?

Maybe Earth has become a disco ball due to Bowser's latest plans?

And I take it World 8 is a part of your Super Mario Odyssey hack (just guessing here...) it looks really cool nonetheless.

Hey!

Yes, i'm sure, because If I reopen the OW editor the palette changes are there. That still doesn't explain why the animated colour entries (red + yellow) were greyed out. Also, the only out-of-palette tiles are the earth tiles. Would those do it, because they use the status bar palette?

You are very limited with overworld palettes. It's best to only use palettes 5 through 8 (I think that's the range, someone correct me if I'm wrong) and only the first 8 colors of each palette. Using anything else is just asking for trouble.

Are you sure you're saving the palettes after you modify them? If you haven't done that, click the 'Save RGBs to ROM' button in the 'Edit Overworld Colors and Palettes' window after you make the changes. If that's not it though, I'm not sure what the problem is

I know this doesn't exactly pertain to the thread question, but that section of the overworld there looks pretty neat Good luck with fixing your problem

Hey!

I was testing my game, and I Came across something wierd. The World-8 palette is seriously messed up, but only in that world and the levels within it. Everything else is fine. Would anybody have an Idea what I did wrong?

Here are some screens:
How it appears in LM OW editor

How it appears in ZSNES

In ZSNES, the level points aren't animated, either.
BTW, the messed submap is Bowser's valley, specifically, and the events triggered were the castle-7 destruction and earthquake sequences from the same level, level 18. Also, the first of the "special world" events, "change OW colors" was activated, but in LM the colors don't change.
