No, it is, you just said what you said in a particularly roundabout/confusing way.
The colors used by the hat with the default graphics are colors 1, 5, 7, 8, and 9 of pallete 8. In Lunar Magic, open the palette editor, make sure a custom palette isn't enabled, make sure "Mario Palette" is the one up (or actually any of them can be up but then they'll be affected instead) and change the colors you want changed, then hit "Save RGBs to ROM." |

I'm sorry, I must not have been clear enough.
What I meant was like, if I wanted to change the color of mario's hat to a color not on the orginal palette for mario (like make his hat purple or something) and have it be purple in the the entire game, not just one level, how would I do that.
But, it seems from the replys I've got that changing mario's color throught the game isn't possible. |

You go to the palette editor screen and change the colors for Mario. I always click on luigi then mario so I can see where they are, and then change them. |

Hey, I need to changed the color pallete that mario uses, how would I got about that? And is it possible to make new color palletes and insert them with lunar magic into the rom? - Danny
