Welcome to the Brain Teaser forum, please read!

This was copied right from the old board announcement... read it!

"Look around, if you like answering brain teasers, see if any need answering. If there aren't many, make some of your own and post them! Maybe join a game or make one of your own if you're so inclined. We welcome newcomers to become involved, so get involved!"

"No word association or word chain threads or one-word-reply threads of any kind. They are spammy. Threads like that will be closed.

Also: no flaming (of course). Although something like that won't happen here often, it has happened before, for example, one person disagreed with the answer to a riddle that someone else made up: he thought his answer was right, and a flame war broke out. Nothing like this should happen."

"Also, the "bump limit" shall be roughly a month, since this isn't the busiest of forums. If there are still open puzzles, and it's been less than a month, and it isn't too far down on the first page, it should be OK to reply.

Another thing to avoid: if you are running a puzzle or such, try not to go away for extended periods of time, and if it can't be avoided, try to inform participants."

"Just a suggestion...

If you ask a question that could potentially have more than one answer, be willing to accept any or all of them; otherwise, be more specific when asking a question. Remember, if one of your questions has more than one answer, no one can read your mind to see which one you want.

Or of course, you don't have to for the sake of riddles, but keep this in mind when asking questions. For me, riddles become boring when I have to start guessing at possible answers when any could work.

EDIT:
New rule. Never make any posts like "I don't know the answers to any of them". If you don't know any of the answers, then don't post in the thread. (exceptions: lateral thinking puzzles, etc.)"

~Dnumdé"

There you have it!
