Posted by Kailieann First time I read that I could have sworn you said "you damn pussy." But regardless QFT. I misread words all the time. I was looking at a sign on a business today while waiting for a light to change. It was an Italian restaurant that said "artfully made cuisine," but I thought it said "artificially made cuisine." Perhaps I can see hidden truth behind the actual words . ____________________ Zelda Hacking Forum hobbies: delectatio morosa |

question: Is this thread for general, purpose questions? (i.e. general and purpose apply independently to the word question)
Or is it for general purpose questions? If so, what is a purpose question? Or.... is it for general purpose questions? If so, what distinguishes a question as general purpose? Could I ask what color socks the President wears? Fucking ambiguity in language . And finally, if this is a question thread, wouldn't answers be offtopic? ____________________ Zelda Hacking Forum hobbies: delectatio morosa |

Xk: how about not antagonizing for once? At some point you just need to cool off and not look back after something has pissed you off. Yeah it's funny, but I agree with Tyrfing that it's hypocritical to say leave them alone, but then post a thread like this when clearly people from both sides are still watching. Sometimes you need to be above the situation, I think. ____________________ Zelda Hacking Forum hobbies: delectatio morosa |

To the Pink Floyd fans here: If you haven't listened to Animals yet, I'd strongly urge you to do so. The idea behind the album is kind of oversimplistic, but the actual music is probably the best I've heard ouf of Pink Floyd. It's... immersive, sad yet uplifting. Sane but bordering on madness. There's three main songs and two book end songs. Except, in stark contrast to Wish You Were Here, the bookend songs are short and the meat is in the middle of the album.
Another CD I can listen to from start to finish is Aenima by Tool. I can't say I care too much for Tool's other albums - they all seem like a lifeless imitation of Aenima to me. I often skip through the transition tracks if I can, though. Some of them are good, some of them are hilarious, and some are just ok. But each song on the album is enjoyable in its own unique way. The first two songs are normal length, and from that point on it pretty much alternates a full length song with a short transition song (some aren't really songs at all.) This is the kind of music you'll want to listen to when the lights are off and you're on your computer late at night, working on a project. I didn't find it very good for just driving, I have to admit, but it works in most other scenarios. . Finally, Full Circle is a rap CD by a group called Hieroglyphics that I also strongly recommend if you are into rap that is "more than just bustin caps and fuckin bitches", as Del the Funky Homosapien puts it. The lyrics are excellent, the music they put their rhymes to is excellent and involving. It's not something you'd really play at a party like Jay Z or whatever, but I have a great time driving while listening to it. It's more accessible than Wu-Tang, I'll say that much about it. ____________________ Zelda Hacking Forum hobbies: delectatio morosa |

.... that would imply that people bought NGages. I think he's lying about having one.
Joking aside, a quick google search reveals that there does appear to be some homebrew, but it doesn't seem like there's a concentrated community or communities that do it. ____________________ Zelda Hacking Forum hobbies: delectatio morosa |

Posted by Raccoon Sam Apparently you do not understand how RSA encryption works. Let's put it this way. You have two large 100 digit prime numbers. Multiply them together and save that result as C. The two prime numbers that are its factors are A and B. You are given C but to unlock the encryption you have to find either A or B. A and B are referred to as "keys." If you know one you will know the other. Think about how many prime numbers are in the range of 1 digit numbers to 100 digit numbers. Those numbers are huge! This does not imply that the numbers have to fill out 100 digits, but generally speaking they are made sufficiently large that trying to find them is extremely inefficient, and thus difficult. So inefficient that it would take several lifetimes to go through all the possibilities, if not the end of the universe. Quantum computers could do it in hours though. ____________________ Zelda Hacking Forum hobbies: delectatio morosa |

What I meant by lifeless imitation, is that it obviously has the Tool sound (duh), but the songs don't quite evoke much of a response in me. They sound disorganized or uninteresting, though there are a few exceptions of course, but I don't know the songs by name. Hell, I don't even know the names of the songs on Aenima but I love them. Most of them are weird names like Strange Days by The Doors is one I forgot to mention. From the song "Moonlight Drive" with its eccentric slide guitar, to the creepy title track, to the climactic "When the Music's Over" at the end of the album, this is an album I can listen to over and over again. And it features some lesser known songs that are really pretty and have some special little solos and parts, like "You're Lost Little Girl." I recently rediscovered this album, I thought I had lost it. To my dismay "Moonlight Drive" had been scratched up too badly to play. Man I was pissed. Oh, and "Horse Latitudes" will definitely confuse the fuck out of anybody you have listen to it. ____________________ Zelda Hacking Forum hobbies: delectatio morosa |

My current car crapped out on me about two weeks ago, and since then I've been having to borrow a car to get to work. So naturally I'm starting to get on people's nerves with that and I need to get some new wheels [used, technically]. I just thought I'd ask if anyone has any experience in buying cars and maybe any advice. The best ride/best price I've seen so far is a Mitsubishi 2002 Galant GTZ with 59,000 miles. Asking price is $9990, which from what I've seen is a pretty good price, I just have to check out the carfax to be totally sure. In case you didn't know, I live in the USA.
Between friends and people my dad knows I've got some options. I've got a friend who actually works at a lot who can give me a discount, but I'm not too keen on the cars they have... even if they do have a TON of them. They also have widely varying mileage, from 9000 miles to 100,000+ miles, so it's hard to pick amongst those. My best friend's aunt does the financing for a smaller used auto dealer, so I might be able to get a much reduced monthly payment and better financing, I just have to find a car I like there. My dad works for the power company and incidentally meets a lot of used auto dealers while doing work orders for them on their electric systems. The Galant GTZ is at one of such lots. The guy seems pretty nice and he can finance me more than the bank, but payments are a little steep, about $220 / mo. I want to talk him down a bit but assuming the car is really in excellent condition I'm not sure I can get him to wittle it down much more. He's quoting me quite a bit under NADA and Kelley as is... nearly $2000... though I still need to check out that CARFAX b/c if it had been involved in an accident... you know... Then there's dealers I don't know... so screw that. The last option is classifieds, which usually suck and want $$$$ upfront (which I don't have a whole lot of, maybe $1500 to work with.) And lastly there's eBay, which ... can be good but I've had some friends buy junkers off of eBay too unintentionally. Cars that seemed good and at a low price, but crapped out after a 6 month warranty, etc. So yeah... any thoughts? P.S. I always thought the forum could use an automotive thread for talking about car problems and such, given that the older board members are getting around the age where they have to deal with that on their own. ____________________ Zelda Hacking Forum hobbies: delectatio morosa |

I'll eat just about any flavor, except for Salt and Vinegar. Pickle flavor sounds pretty nasty but I've never had that. Barbecue is definitely my favorite though.
There is a different class of chip experience out there as well... and that's chips and dip. In that scenario I'm going to go with normal rippled chips with a good brand of sour cream and onion as my favor. And tortilla chips and a whole jar of hot salsa is how I like to spend my nights ____________________ Zelda Hacking Forum hobbies: delectatio morosa |

Ditto to Toxic. I don't want Lindsay Lohan to go to rehab. How is she going to "get to know" her fans and make bad decisions without alcohol? And Tina Fey is also in this movie. 2 thumbs up. Okay it's actually not very good overall, but it has some funny parts.
The problem with the movie is that it lumps everybody into shallow stereotypes, where in reality there's quite a bit of overlap. But Lindsay's initial friends are kind of painted as the "good guys", but I think if I knew them in high school I would probably be pretty uninterested in hanging out with them. I'd hang out with Asian hotties. ____________________ Zelda Hacking Forum hobbies: delectatio morosa |

So uh... is this thing done? Are there two versions of the hack (old and new)?
If it's complete you'll want to have this moved to the Rom Hacking Releases Forum. ____________________ Zelda Hacking Forum hobbies: delectatio morosa |

Rydain: the problem with your battery may be related to corrosion on the contacts and the battery terminals. It usually looks like white powder. It can be cleaned with soda water (club soda).
I know what cars to look for, I already have a list written down and all the cost comparisons, mileage comparisons etc. I was more asking about financing, and how to not get hosed on that. I'm looking at paying $170 to $220 per month. Or for some unusual places to look for cars (e.g. auctions.) My parents are considering selling me one of their cars, b/c they need a newer car anyway. That would be considerably cheaper and save me tons of headache. Hopefully I can negotiate that. ____________________ Zelda Hacking Forum hobbies: delectatio morosa |

What could be so bad about working with tons of abstract symbols and concepts? Oh, and having to think really hard too. C'mon, it's fun.
As for my person projects--- finishing my Zelda 3 editor, finding a new car, finding a new job (in reverse order of importance.) ____________________ Zelda Hacking Forum hobbies: delectatio morosa |
