That game freeze I had, could it have been because of the order in which I visited the passcode machines? ____________________ My YouTube Channel |

Posted by PanophobiaWhich is why I'm moving Mega Man: Fully Loaded over to MM4. You have also inspired me to work much harder on my hack. ____________________ My YouTube Channel |

Posted by PanophobiaThat music is still awesome. There are also 2 songs from Rockman No Constancy I've been listening to lately. The Quick Man stage theme, and the Heat Man stage theme. The Quick Man one is my favorite of the two, and it's a beautiful song. The intro stage theme in your hack, did you compose that yourself, or did you rip it from that NES version of MM7? ____________________ My YouTube Channel |

I don't think it would hurt to have a thread like this. In fact, I believe this board, or the previous one before it, had a thread like this. This is good for people who have ideas and want to share them, to help others with their hacks, and/or get criticism on whether an idea is good or not, to decide whether it is good for their hack.
I want to start this off by asking you guys if this is a good idea: I've been watching The Dark Knight lately, and the movie was really good, and I was thinking, would a new series for Mega Man be good? A Mega Man series that is more serious, and goes in a different direction? For example: Hack 1 - Mega Man Begins How Rock became Mega Man. The final boss is Wily. Hack 2 - The Blue Bomber Mega Man has been fighting for a while. An all-new villain is introduced. None of this constant Wily crap that has been going on, even though that is what makes Mega Man great, as I said, I could take Mega Man in a different new direction. If you guys think a new Mega Man series like this is a good idea, please let me know, and I will consider it. And please, if you have any ideas you'd like to offer others, to help them with their hacks, and/or try to get ideas for your hacks, feel free to post. Ideas are what make new innovative hacks possible. ____________________ My YouTube Channel |

Googie and I have been talking about hack ideas lately. I asked him if he could come up with a cool idea for SMB3, and he said, how about using the Tanooki Suit as a magnet, and when the enemies touch Mario, they die. I thought that was a great idea, so I got to work on it.
And thus, Magnet Mario was born! Oh, and by the way, the reason the giant ? block goes is because it is treated like an enemy. If you look in SMB3 Workshop, you'll know what I'm talking about. ____________________ My YouTube Channel |

Posted by StifuI'm actually going to be trying to get that to happen. I want them gradually be pulled in, and while the timer lasts, they can be killed if they touch Mario. ____________________ My YouTube Channel |

Posted by messiaenI simply love all of the work you are doing with SM64. Yours is the first SM64 hack that I'm actually excited about. That whole front of the castle under water is just awesome! Keep up the good work! ____________________ My YouTube Channel |

I'm hacking two games right now, SMB3 and Megaman, so I'm switching back and forth between the two.
How the hell do you find the object-properties data in Super Mario Bros. 3? Seriously. I've been looking forever, and I have had no luck. The blue X-block in the hills level. I want to make it an ice block. How do I find the table which specifics what type of block it is? I have done read and writes to $E5, and to $603-605. I did manual searches in the hex editor, I did trace logging, and I also added some ASM code to $E5, to get the results I want, but then it will interefere later on. I should be able to just simply change the property of the block, and as far as I have looked, SMB3 Workshop doesn't have any support for this. Is there a specific method for finding tables like this? ____________________ My YouTube Channel |

Posted by smkdanNo I don't want the attribute table. I know how to do that! I want the object-properties table. I shouldn't have used the word attribute. For example, the table that defines a block if it is solid, water, a spike, lava, slippery ice, invisible, or air. ____________________ My YouTube Channel |

Believe it or not, that was my hack. Not much of a hack as you can see. I attempted to port the MMXtreme X sprites over, but stopped when I couldn't fit the sprites into Megaman's sprite space. The Xtreme sprites required more space than there already was. I think I did this back when TEK was around. ____________________ My YouTube Channel |

Having a douchebag for a moderator doesn't make him a good moderator.
Admins and moderators are supposed to maintain the board and deal with the immaturity, not contribute to it. At least we know what kind of person blackhole89 really is. An immature person. Have fun changing the titles on everybody elses threads too while you are at it. I expect nothing less from an immature person such as yourself. ____________________ My YouTube Channel |

Just something I've been doing for fun. Took me 2 days to do this. I implemented ice blocks in the hills level, also, if you jump in the water, you can die, since it is ice cold. If you are Fire Mario and you jump in the water, you can get out of the water alive.

I never hacked Metroid before. But I downloaded it, and I was looking through it. What kind of ASM hacks can be done to it? I couldn't think of anything to be honest with you, but then again, I never really played through the whole game. I couldn't tell you how long the game is. I'm sure someone already removed those bubble doors that you have to shoot open. ____________________ My YouTube Channel |

Unfortunately, I haven't played it yet, but I have watched some YouTube videos of it. The game definitely looks interesting, but it may be a while until I have the means to download it. I'm really glad that Capcom decided to come to their senses, and go back to what made Mega Man Mega Man. I don't know about you guys, but I can't stand seeing that Battle Network and Star Force crap we've been getting. Does anyone here actually play those games? ____________________ My YouTube Channel |

Thanks guys. Glad you like it. As I said, it's just something I'm doing for fun. Winter is coming, it's the holiday season, and I wanted to do something holiday-like. I had SM64's snow levels in mind, which inspired me to do this. I personally like when you jump in the water, you turn ice blue, and you remain ice blue when you come out.

I'm trying to code a new powerup (replacing Fire Mario), but, I don't know why it won't show the fireball sprite (for testing purposes) when I want it to be shown. Here is a picture which will describe it all.
I have to go to work now. If you guys can help me figure this out, I would appreciate it. I'll reply later. ____________________ My YouTube Channel |

It is actually showing tile $64 and $65 from the left side of the pattern table. The right side is supposed to be the sprites side. If you look closely at the sprite on the screen, you can see that it is the 2 bottom block tiles that are together on the left side of the PPU. Now I understand why there are 2 sprites, because of the 8x16 sprtie mode. Thank you for that bit of info. But why is it displaying from the left side when the sprites are on the right? Is it because of that "odd" numbered thing you were saying? ____________________ My YouTube Channel |
