Well, I kinda imagined there could be "tower garden" levels inside the tower. There would be plants and grass covering the ground, though the ground would be mostly made out of stone, or something.

Could look in the style of KP9000 first screenshot even, just replace the ground with castle brick or something. xD

Scroll down to the last few lines if this is "too long".

[17:54] <jargon> is there an irc admin avail?
[17:54] <blackhole89> Excuse me?
[17:54] <blackhole89> I'm an IRC operator.
[17:54] <jargon> idealgeneration.tv is the irc network i set up not knowing shit of c for the config in 1hr 72seconds
[17:55] <blackhole89> So what are you trying to tell me?
[17:55] <blackhole89> Why would you need C to configure anything?
[17:55] <jargon> i could never figure out why it didn't work until yesterday when i saw it was routed thru the wrong puter on the lan
[17:55] <blackhole89> Get to your point.
[17:55] <jargon> unreal ircd uses a config written in c
[17:56] <jargon> i was wondering if i could run a server for this network
[17:56] <jargon> it does now in the latest version
[17:56] <jargon> i was going to use inspa ircd
[17:56] <blackhole89> And no, it doesn't.
[17:56] <blackhole89> The latest version is 3.2.7
[17:56] <blackhole89> From the documentation,
[17:56] <blackhole89> Each entry, or block, in the new format has a specific format. The format works like:
[17:56] <blackhole89> <block-name> <block-value> {
[17:56] <blackhole89> <block-directive> <directive-value>;
[17:56] <blackhole89> };
[17:57] <jargon> then explain why my config is written in faux c
[17:57] <blackhole89> Probably because you're full of bs?
[17:57] <blackhole89> What you are saying would not make any sense whatsoever anyway.
[17:57] <jargon> then blame unreal ircd for claiming in their readme that the config uses faux c
[17:58] <blackhole89> Configuration is, pretty much by definition, key-value pairs
[17:58] <blackhole89> you would not need any control flow for that
[17:58] <blackhole89> also, where does it say that?
[17:58] <blackhole89> [citation needed]
[17:58] <jargon> it says it somewhere in the config guide
[17:58] <jargon> either near the top or bottom
[17:59] <jargon> either there or in the version history
[17:59] <blackhole89> Provide a citation.
[17:59] <blackhole89> If you can't, you're wrong.
[17:59] <jargon> i prolly just misread it
[17:59] <blackhole89> Ding.
[17:59] <blackhole89> You lost the argument.
[18:01] <jargon> bbl i'm going for a smoke
[18:01] <jargon> i'm just saying i have unlimited 80mbps
[18:02] <canned_sleep> >>
[18:02] <canned_sleep> <<
[18:05] <Ailure> unless you're having lots of users
[18:05] <Ailure> really lots
[18:05] <Ailure> bandwidth dosen't really mean much for hosting a IRC server
[18:05] <jargon> it does during ddos
[18:05] <jargon> for crap ddos stuff anyways

NESTopia is the most accurate, yet usable NES emulator I used. It have accuracy as a main goal, but isn't as awkward to play in as some other "accurate" emulators.

*shrug*

Palettes varies a bit between Emulators (and you can load custom palettes in most too). It's also possible you are using some video configuration in the emulator that makes it a bit darker.

It would be so ironic if a Cave Story anime came out shortly...

And some games uses effects that abuses some weaknesses of the NTSC. Such as the seas in first Zelda that looks more like waves than dots on a real TV... and with the NTSC filter.

NIN isn't exactly my favorite band, but I download it and give the songs a spin for great justice. Especially since this is a step in the right direction.

From what I've seen, LM had something to do with SMA2, with the Demo World easter egg and descriptions of SMA2-only items in the application.
But yeah, I say go for it. SMA2 editor would be pretty swanky and bring a slight change to the usual SMW-SNES-scene.
I believe FuSoYa was working on SMA2 support at the end of Lunar Magic's life, but dropped it altogether as he was getting tired on developing his editor.

Anyone remember this game? It was done like Civilization, but is in the (relativity near) future on a planet near Alpha centauri.

While the micromanagment annoys me, especially how after a certain point in the game you can reach insane growth (and potentially extreme smallpox if you can bother with it)... it still feels like one of the more unique turnbased strategy games. The AI is a bit weak too... even at the hardest difficulty it still is somewhat easily beaten if you know the game mechanics well.

Sadly it's a bit old game... and while some people don't see that as a problem, I do. The game can be a bit buggy on modern computers, things like Multiplayer doesn't work too well (I had to create a VPN to even get it working at all!). There was a fork of Freeciv that was going to implement mechanics from Alpha centauri apparently, but it didn't go anywhere.
