This probably would work better than taking screenshots constantly.
Kinda neglected the rest of the fortress while creating that canal system. xD Level 29 is especially of interesting, although looking at the pumping system sideways is kinda neat too. ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

Heh, the higher detailed graphics don't look like SNES-style pixel art but more like GBA style. xD
Underwater levels as far I recall, isn't too popular in first place. None of the ones in SMW is particular memorable, although a few in SMB3 is... Heh, Banland. Should probably be done in a tongue-in-cheek manner, like the underworld in Super Paper Mario. ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

I assume you are using JavaDoc style, considering you talked something about DoxyGen.
Bit of a request too, so it would be easier for others to understand the source code. ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

Actually, I would suggest to play with a SuperFX to check if the system still runs alright.
If it starts restarting, or acts glitchy due to the internal brownout... then you better cut it's power. ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

Posted by blackhole89That's rather common on Youtube. I figure most of the time it's because people hadn't the sound recorded, so they put a song so it wouldn't be totally empty... personally I would prefer hearing the sounds from the game. Still, that hack looks really nice. The overworlds is quite similar to the original overworlds, but that isn't bothering me too much. ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

Hmm, maybe we should implement new bonus levels or games too. With their own music.
I thought about this the other day when listening to the targets theme from SSBM. xD Some level/minigame that you need to beat under a certain time, and also saves records. Something to replace the 3 in row bonus game would be nice... ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

Apart from the Ragnarök Online anime, the Pokémon animé is probably the dumbest animé I ever seen. ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

I like, I like it.
I don't want most of the game to be in the tower. I assume we could probably have a few (2-3) worlds elsewhere that isn't on the island as well. ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

1/3 to 50% sounds fine for me.
...it really depends on what kind of levels we manage to finish anyway. Besides becuse the hack is named after it, dosen't mean it have to be around it constantly. Some games are named after a quest item you maybe only carry for 10% of the game. ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

I'm actually surprised there was actually updates during the Christmas holiday, but then I figure they have way different holidays in Japan. >> Even if some do celebrate Christmas over there. ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

Posted by boingboingsplatMmm, that was my idea earlier. Good thing to wonder is if you should start on the floating island or on the ground. Could always pull a cave story with waking up in the middle of nowhere. ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

Well, Nestopia might give him the same (or worse) problem. My old homebrewn dosen't run at all in Nestopia, since it seems like I depended on some inaccuracy... that I hadn't been able to figure out. xD ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

Could always rip the first room you start in from Cave story at this point to use as a starting point. ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

Guess I pretty much give up plans on my ideas about starting on a own SMB3 editor of my own in another language. I might contribute to it later, but I'm really not fond of C# myself. xD
Still. This might be the start of the mother of all SMB3 editors. And it's open source! Which is a rarity for game editors... ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

Hehe, you should refine that song a bit. It's my favorite song from the game, even if it makes me a bit uneasy~
And a just a heads up. Unless a catastrophic failure (probably not) happens to my apartment computer, the wiki will be up tomorrow evening. (GMT+1 that is). I might go back and add anything noteworthy from the thread since the wiki went down... ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

And nowadays, there's really no excuse for the PAL delay. Due to severeal facts, such as PAL TV's supporting 60 hz. Infact, most TV's supports most combinations (PAL/NTSC at 50/60 hz) as it's cheaper to produce them that way nowadays.
And PC games usually are released worldwide at the same time. Sometimes I wonder if they release it in a country at a time, so they can see how it fares in one territory, before releasing it into the next. ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

Same location as last time. The ailure.kafuka.org domain works perfectly, as my IP didn't change over christmas (pretty ironic it did before...). ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org
